Three Palestinian Arab men were shot and injured in Burlington, Vermont, on Saturday in what authorities suspect could be a hate-related crime, The Hill reports.
The Burlington Police Department (BPD) said in a press release on Sunday that two of the three victims are in stable condition while the third sustained “much more serious injuries.”
The three men, who are each 20 years old and of Palestinian Arab descent, were visiting the home of one victim’s relatives in Burlington for the Thanksgiving weekend and were walking along a street when they were confronted by a white man with a handgun.
Police said the man discharged at least four rounds without saying anything and fled on foot. Two of the victims were shot in their torso and one was shot in the lower extremities, police said.
Burlington Police Chief Jon Murad suggested the incident could be a hate-related crime.

It’s much more often the other way around.
Without proof, it didn’t happen. It was some kind of family, moslem, or dope crap... and they blamed it on whitey.

Probably someone they knew always ends up being the case..said nothing, if the perp had said something MAYBE, but since nothing was said, probably some drug deal gone bad but of course wont stop the commies to say “See the arabs are being attacked too”

If the shoe was on the other foot, they’d rush to say there was no sign it was terrorism. But the first thing they say here is hate crime, yet what indication do they have beside the ethnicity of the victims?
Shot in the lower extremities? What caliber? Hell, we know these people will blow themselves up for the cause. If any of those shots weren’t in the kneecap, I’m not buying it.
Shot in leg = Sending a message to pay up on the drugs they bought.
Authorities up north sure are quick to share their fears of ill-intentioned shootings. Down in Nashville it might take months before a chief of police will even say “no comment” about a shooting.
When a black kills a white it’s not a hate crime.

I make a point about not GAGS why a perp shoots someone. Hate crime, shmate crime. It’s a crime. Find the perp, prosecute and punish him.

Samantha Woll, age 40, president of the Isaac Agree Downtown Detroit Synagogue was found stabbed to death on her front lawn. The police and civic leaders all quickly said “There is no connection to a motive of terrorism” and said “we realized there has been unease in the community between groups but we do not want this to case any misunderstandings.”
News shows locally had a Muslim leader say he was sorry for her death. Reminded me of the wimpy “We are all together” ads put on TV after 9/11 with a firefighter said to be Lebanese and so on, to promote togetherness.
After weeks of unanswered questions, an arrest has been made. Chief James White said that while other details will remain confidential as the investigation continues, the announcement of the arrest was done out of a “commitment to transparency.”
Police said the 40-year-old returned home from a wedding just after midnight. They believe she was attacked inside her home and that she stumbled outside, where she was found. There were no signs of forced entry at the woman’s home. She was found with her wallet and phone on her, police confirmed.
