The skyrocketing costs could impact the 2024 election, as the soaring inflation under President Joe Biden reflects poorly on his economic plan of so-called “Bidenomics.”

Canada is also paying for their “free” healthcare with those high food prices.
Whopper meal at the Burger King in the Maui airport was $23 yesterday. I was shocked to see it on the kiosk.
When you pay $15 minimum wage to flip burgers this was bound to happen.
I can pay $12 for a really nice big cheeseburger with good home cooked fries and fresh toppings at the locally owned grill and pick it up curbside, so if I am going the burger route it’s not going to be fast food.
I haven’t had a Big Mac since the 1970s.
Free?
I pay out $3,000 per year for ‘health insurance’ on top of tons of taxes that I already pay. So that ‘free’ part is subjective and the insurance provider doesn’t cover a lot of common drugs and demands a $15 co-pay on every prescription.
There’s a common saying in Canada... Canada has the best healthcare system in the world, as long as you don’t get sick.
For $34, I used to get Center Cut Prime Rib, and 3 Sides. I’m not going back to Mickey’D’s dump.

At 73, I’ve dropped from 265 to 134, in the York Memorial Hospital’s Oncology Dept (2017) — pancreatic cancer turned out to be a grapefruit-sized pseudo-cyst on pancreas — so I had 23 days w/ no food and water; just 5 cups of ice chips/ day. Then 8, 11 & 5 days at Hershey Med Ctr, and back to York for 5 days. 14 ERCP operations. In 2017-18. Wonderful medical people, terrible times... but that’s over, mercifully.
The first day in office Biden shut down oil business it gave a wink and a nod for price gouging on everything and everyone jumped on that band wagon.
“Last Wednesday, I got 2 Big Macs, 1 Dbl Cheeseburger Quarter Pounder, 2 Large Fries. $30.08”
I don’t eat at McDonalds or any other fast food shop but I had a look at the Japanese menu . That order would have cost you $ 15 here .
That’s why I had “free” in quotes. Some Canadians and all liberals like to say that healthcare is free in Canada.
I was in Canada about 15-18 years ago on a fishing trip, and all the groceries were double or even triple the US costs.

This is what happens when Obama/Biden/Deep State run things.
Figures.
I’m not eating there again, ever.
Walmart hamburger prices + other meat.

I get the angus beef burger patties. Add some lettuce from a bag of iceburg lettuce all to a toasted hamburger bun.
Hmm.. 🍔
$19.76 for 12 burgers $4.94/lb. I freeze them and then later cook from frozen. Taste great.
Wow......you are clever w/ a burger.
Someone also posted that, the day after, W/M’s whole
roasted chickens are half price in their deli case.
Wondering what clever you would do w/ one of those cheapies?
I haven’t eaten a McDonald’s burger in over 30 years and never will again . That goes for all the other corporate fast food / chain shops . I support private individuals running their own restaurants .
Good policy.
The small businesses come and go much too quickly, around this area, that it’s hard to help out one or two that are good. A shame that so many go dark, in such a short time.
Yeah, funny about those CostCo chickens...I had two large dogs that ate anything and everything - the ONLY thing neither of them would touch were the CostCo rotisserie chickens - they loved the ones from Ralphs, Sprouts and other outlets, but wouldn’t touch those - we tried several times just to see if it were a particular batch, etc., and each time they rejected the chicken.
We never bought them again after that, have no idea what the dogs were sensing.
Now you’d have to hold up a kiosk, Laz, there are no longer humans at any registers at my local McDonald’s.
And the humans that are there do not speak or understand English.
