There were VERY few workers when I went to McDonald’s a few days ago - all ordering was done from a kiosk - ordering from your phone was also encouraged - there was one guy on the drive-thru (which will soon be replaced by AI) - a couple of cooks in the back and one guy to bring out the food.
When the “Five Dollar Foot Long” was still a thing, they didn’t offer it in California.
