Wray was Fat Christie’s lawyer who got him out of the ridiculous Bridgegate criminal matter. In return, Christie convinced Trump to appoint him to the FBI, probably the worst personnel appointment Trump made. And the FBI sat on the Biden computer since December 2019 almost a year before the election.
Yes, Christie recommended Wray.
But it was McCAin who announced that he wouldn’t vote to confirm anyone except Wray, and Repubs had no vote cushion.
Trump still screwed up. He should have appointed an acting FBI Director rather than submit to McCain.
But Wray had total Swamp support. Not just Christie.
