Well, I guess that’s alright then. For sure dictators across the globe have never promised not to abuse their power “except for [some period of time]”. /s
I know Trump probably meant it as a joke, but the joke kind of falls flat when you live in an actual authoritarian country.
Trump has fun pushing their buttons. I say let him have his fun.
