The owner of a Virginia house that exploded as police tried to execute a search warrant is believed to have died in the blast, officials said Tuesday, as details emerged about numerous grievances he expressed against neighbors and others on social media and in lawsuits.

Yes this was all over Twitter.
One might think he set off natural gas.
It could be he fired an AR-15. That’s the kind of explosion you get when you hit something with a 5.56x45.

I’m not so sure about this. It’s a big story here in DC, and not one neighbor interviewed has mentioned finding any chunks of meat in their yards. It was a pretty big explosion, directed upwards by the brick walls, so he might have been vaporized, but….

Okay, I’m not being silly this post.
It looks like the guy either had some sort of explosives he cooked up himself or he intentionally let the natural gas into his house (maybe by leaving the gas on from the stove).
He made some paranoid posts on Instagram or Facebook or whatever.
Then when the police came he probably did something to blow himself up.
The residence was a duplex (I looked on Google street view) so I hope the neighbors got out; it’s certain they lost everything they had.

The guy was a nut, and thought his neighbors and their children spying on him for the government. Based on some of his social media posts, possibly schizophrenic. I remember a freeper posting such thoughts a few years back. He also thought the kids were in on it.

In the video you can clearly see a couple of flare shots inside the house before it blows up.
They had not said if anyone was killed in the blast until now.
