I feel this is being looked at in the wrong way. If there is a medical procedure for anyone it should be looked at as a medical procedure. Not a political statement.
Too much of this issue is coming from those that really have nothing to do with a medical determination of another person not in their charge. We just changed the abortion issue at the federal level by throwing out Roe vs. Wade from their use. It doesn’t change that states can use the same policies the feds used in their state. But it takes their fingers out of the pie. So that was an imnprovement.
The legality of cosmetic surgery has been displayed time and time again with the different types of surgeries being done. Almost every part of the body has and can have surgery for correction or vanity in our history. If it doesn’t make any difference if a woman wants an E cup bust line from a B, then isn’t it the same thing. It’s her bust, not ours. And if you don’t think teen girls are not getting augumentation, then you are out of touch with our societal expectations.
So trying to object to a state determining the legalities of sex change, is actually at this point infringing on their privileges. I had a woman a couple of weeks ago get on me saying if she had raised me I wouldn’t think the way I do...conservative. And my retort was that I was raised to think for myself, not be a sheep. Liberals are all alike.
It’s their state’s determination. If the voters don’t like it, vote them out at the first oppotunity and get people in that think like the voters as a whole do. That’s why we have states’ rights and vote the people in that make the laws for them.

Gender Dysphoria is a real thing. We should not allow mutilation in the name of false sex change. You cannot change your sex, it is coded in ever cell of your body. Maybe we can go back to lobotomies, and binding of feet so they will be make females more servile. As long as the Federal government controls the medical practices of doctors, IT SHOULD BE ILLEGAL in the US. Let the freaks go to Europe for their fantasy operations. For boob implants and other body enhancements. Pay cash, because to use public funds is an abomination for this. Now if a woman has a mastectomy, and wants to be “made whole” again. Insurance can cover it. Medical care under insurance should comply with basic tenets... Do no harm FIRST.
