What would we ever do if we had a year with NO NEW LAWS? What if we said “We have enough laws. Hire police, DAs, and judges to ENFORCE the laws we have!”
That would be good. What if we had a year with nothing but old laws being repealed?
Unfortunately, that won't happen because in the mid-1960s, Assemblyman Houston Flournoy (R-Pomona) pushed through a law giving California a full-time legislature. He was proud of that accomplishment, but I think it has been an unmitigated disaster. Now in session full-time, our legislature deluges us with wacko-woke laws.
