UPenn Loses a $100 Million Donation Over Its President's Kill All the Jews Trip-Up

University of Pennsylvania President Liz Magill is learning that free speech has a cost. She, along with Claudine Gay and Sally Kornbluth, the presidents of Harvard and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, respectively, testified before the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, where Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) asked all three women if calls for Jewish genocide constituted harassment. All three ladies gave waffled answers that were both cold and insipid to the more significant issue of the antisemitism facing Jewish students amid the war in Gaza.

A University of Pennsylvania donor is withdrawing a gift worth around $100 million to protest the school's response to antisemitism on campus.

The big picture: The final straw for Ross Stevens, founder and CEO of Stone Ridge Asset Management, was Tuesday's widely criticized congressional testimony by Penn president Liz Magill.

Details: The gift from Stevens, a Penn undergrad alum, was given in December 2017 to help establish a center for innovation in finance.

It was in the form of limited partnership units in Stone Ridge, with the current value estimated at around $100 million.

Stevens, in a letter from his lawyers to Penn, alleges that the school has violated the terms of the limited partnership agreement, including its anti-discrimination and anti-harassment policies.

I wonder just how much in losses these universities can withstand and still stick to their core evil wokeness?

I know that the colleges are flush with cash due to endowments, but sooner or later, it’s got to pinch them a bit?

The free speech aspect of this is a complete canard.

You'll recall that members of the Penn women's swimming team did not have free speech rights at all to complain when the university forced a mentally ill dude into their locker room with them. Quite the contrary--they were threatened by the university if they spoke out.

"Kill the Jews" is the position of academic leftists in general, and that includes those who are Jews themselves.

Has been for a decades. The latest from Gaza just helped bring it into the open.

Quite recently, it appears. Gay and Kornbluth were hired this year, Magill, in 2022.

Colleges and other insane liberals consider Jews the “oppressors” - but are very willing to take their money.

BACKSTORY U of Penn started receiving millions from Communist China in donations
right after UPenn established “The Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement” in DC.
U of Penn could not explain the sudden millions in Chinese donations.

As investigations threatened, PBS-TV reported UPenn up and gave....
unannounced and unasked.....a $100 million dollar lump sum to local Philly schools.

The Biden Center was also being investigated for unexplained Chinese donations.

Now, Rep. James Comer (Reb-Ky.), chair of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, is zeroing in on “The UPenn Biden Center” in Washington, D.C., as part of the panel’s investigation into classified documents discovered in Biden’s former office at the Center.

Comer laid out his requests in a letter to U of Penn
President and is specifically interested in learning:
<><>who had access to the Penn Biden Center,
<><>a visitors’ log of those who met with Biden at the think tank,
<><>the presence, if any, of lawful security measures WRT to viewing US classified documents
<><>who at UPenn has security clearance necessary to view classified documents
<><>whether Chinese donations to “The Biden Center” were disguised payments for classified info.

Freedom of Speech from the left has always meant they can say whatever they want to offend everyone else, you just aren’t allowed to say things that they don’t like.
