The Ukrainian Armed Forces later confirmed that it had successfully targeted the shipyard.
The Askold is a compact missile ship, designed to carry up to eight Kalibr missiles. Military experts say that neutralizing such a ship significantly improves Ukraine's security.

Most now acknowledge the Ukraine war is completely lost, only the biggest criminals don’t acknowledge that.
Here full time criminal Nancy Pelosi lies that the war is somehow not lost in order to get Billions more to the money laundering program known as the Ukraine war. It’s… https://t.co/LKIgYLmixE— Jimmy Dore (@jimmy_dore) December 8, 2023
Year Three coming up soon, Jon
Still lots more Rooskie ships and subs to be destroyed! Enjoy!!
Here’s another fact for you to insult me over.
LOL, “winning”!
I hope it’s another three years, given the decimation of NATO arms, material and of course, the neo-Nazis.
One less Kalibr carrier….8 less launch tubes
“Military experts say that neutralizing such a ship significantly improves Ukraine’s security.”
Here is a description of Russian capability to launch 56 Kalibrs at Ukraine simultaneously
Where do these guys come from?
Well Rome wasn’t built in a day
We can’t expect Ukraine to destroy ALL the Black Sea Fleet at once
But give it time ... the will and capability is there ...
The best way to ‘fix’ this problem is to render the entire Kiev regime inoperable.
Why does FR permit click generating postings from MSN or Newsweek or any other left wing media source?
The provenance of this "news" is interesting, the provenance being 1) Krymsky Veter (Crimean Wind) Telegram channel, to 2) The New Voice of Ukraine, written in English by Віра Олійник and then 3) through to Microsoft Start / MSN.
A classic cut-and-paste, in which the author's name has not been transliterated into English -- "Story by Віра Олійник " -- though the New Voice of Ukraine publishes in Ukrainian, English and Russian, according to its site.
This seemingly new report reprises another New Voice of Ukraine article from over a month ago, after a strike on 4 November. The only statements are from New Voice of Ukraine, reprised again a month later through another pass-through "news" in Yahoo.
The graphics as reproduced in MSN and Yahoo are the same "claimed" -- that is the verbiage from New Voice of Ukraine -- that have been again reproduced on this thread.
Whether wholly correct or not in some degree -- repairing ships in time of war is a time-consuming and expensive proposition, of course -- the point of posting month old news is interesting.
Good news. Well done!
Do you think Kalibrs can only reach Ukraine from the Black Sea?
How's the Ukie manned sub fleet doing?
The Russian Black Sea fleet is effectively destroyed and unable to be effective.
No new Russian ships can transit the Bosporus.
“We can’t expect Ukraine to destroy ALL the Black Sea Fleet at once”
The Clown/Czar/ Vladimir Putin was forced to evacuate what is left of his doomed fleet from Sebastopol. They are too vulnerable to Ukrainian missiles. The pathetic remnant of Rooski Black Sea navy is now stationed in Novorossiysk. What is the point of Russian claims of Crimea, when they cannot even station their warships there? Russian Rats get out of Ukrainian Crimea!
Why the Evacuation of Sebastopol is a Game Changer for NATO and Beyond

It’s not just Ukraine rubbing its hands in glee; NATO has every reason to celebrate this turning tide.
The importance of Sebastopol cannot be overstated. After annexing Crimea in 2014, Russia transformed the port city into the linchpin of its Black Sea operations. The fleet anchored there served as a floating fortress, a powerful deterrent against any western adventurism in the region. That was then; the story today is markedly different. Ukraine’s ambitious offensive, marked by precise missile and drone strikes, targeted the Achilles heel of Russia’s maritime strategy.
In doing so, they succeeded in damaging warships, crippling radar systems, and neutralizing port infrastructure. The damage was not just physical but psychological, as it demonstrated the vulnerabilities in a fleet once considered nearly invincible.
The retreat to Novorossiysk, while a tactical necessity for Russia, is a seismic shift that leaves Sebastopol exposed and diminishes Russian naval influence in the Black Sea. Imagine moving your queen to the corner of the chessboard while your opponent starts taking over the center. That’s what this feels like.
“Good news. Well done!”
Ukrainians learn fast, how to use newly donated missiles and weapons systems. So much so, they have driven Putin’s Pride, his Black Sea fleet, out of Sebastopol, to retreat to Novorossiysk. Which is at the Eastern edge of Black Sea. Sebastopol was strategically in the middle, and looking south & downward on all Black Sea activity. Military and commercial.
Advantage Ukraine!
Thanks for your ace analysis of sources.
What has New Voice of Ukraine reported here is untrue? Including the graphics?
