Viewers were displeased following SNL's cold open Saturday night, which mocked last week's congressional hearings on campus anti-Semitism.
The opening sketch attempted to make light of the college presidents' lacking testimony, but their efforts evoked few laughs.
Then backlash began online, where viewers slammed the sketch for attempting to undermine the seriouesness of anti-Semitism on US college campuses in the weeks since the October 7 terror attack.

Hollywood is out of touch with America. They used to be liberal but funny. Not anymore.

snl stopped being funny decades ago. several decades ago.
I’m guessing she didn’t resign in disgrace. I’m guessing she resigned in defiance after tripling down on her assertions.

I think it was around 2000, when they stopped showing the The Ambiguously Gay Duo skit.

Sink is trying to make Stefanik look silly in her questioning, but miss the big picture that she is on the right side of history

It attempted to make fun of a Republican lawmaker stefanik who is very mainstream and not caricature inducing. She’s smart and reasonable.
Tgey tried to make fun of her using a backdrop of the Hamas vs Israeli horror
And the ignorant college idiot students protests and the deans and professors’ condoning their antisemitism
It played like Stalin making the Russians doing a skit with guns to their heads to an audience with guns to their heads
The acting was 8th grade level. The humor was completely non existent
It was completely unsurprising as this is the direction they were always headed
Next week maybe they do a little Treblinka comedy song and dance routine. Have some juggling Nazi guards.
I wonder how does it work in Hollywood? I doubt that every writer and actor is political. Who makes the rules? I bet it comes from the producers who are the big supporters of the Democratic Party.
SNL has been reduced to a gaggle of obedient little Hitlerjugend singing songs of praise for the Fuhrer to proud parents in the audience. So, for that matter, has most of the rest of Hollywood.
