I saw someone (I can’t remember who) recently commenting that the left only does material that makes people in political agreement with them clap but not really laugh. IMO, that ‘s not comedic.

Rival liberal late-night host: “Donald Trump is stupid, and his voters are racists.” Audience cheers.
No laughs, just cheers. Rush used to say effective humor has a grain of truth behind it. The left just doesn’t have that anymore.
