Trump read a statement as a response to the first question and then for every other idiotic question he answered: ‘Same answer’
The questions were in the vein of: Did you falsify your financial statement in 20XX which then directly lead to a reduction of loan interest rates which amounted to a fraudulently savings of X millions of dollars?
I was almost screaming at the TV: You idiots! Everybody that has a mortgage knows that banks don’t base it on what you think your own house is worth, they rely on an appraisal. The New York attorneys were basically criminalizing anyone that had made an estimate on how much their property would sell for, if it differed from its tax assessment.
Very scary. If it can happen to President Trump, it can happen to you. Next time someone asks, what do you think your property is worth? if you answer you will be committing a crime.
