New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu will endorse GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley Tuesday night, three sources close to the Republican governor confirm.
The endorsement in the key early-voting state could further elevate Haley, who has risen in national and state polls in recent weeks in the race for the Republican presidential nomination.
Haley and Sununu are expected to appear together Tuesday night for a town hall, the governor's office said, offering this statement from Sununu: “I look forward to joining Nikki at her town hall this evening — it’s going to be a lot of fun!”
One of the sources said this has been the thinking by the Sununu team for some time.
"She’s been here, she’s really pounded the pavement," said one of the people close to the governor. "She’s kind of in the middle, who will bring some peace and calm to the race, at the end of the day."
The endorsement puts an end to the thinking that Sununu would get behind Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, as some Republicans attempt to consolidate support for a candidate besides Donald Trump in the GOP primary.
Haley has held strong in New Hampshire, consistently polling second to Trump.
The Sununu backing is a potential boost to Haley, particularly as she lays attempts to lay out a compelling argument that she has a path beyond Iowa. Sununu, who is vehemently anti-Trump and fitted with running for president himself, is popular in New Hampshire.

Nikki McRomBush has been the Establishment's "next" for years now. Just as they chose Mitt Romney well ahead of 2012 and Jeb Bush well ahead of 2016, they chose Nikki.
Meanwhile, Chris Christie is crying into his pasta.
I’m sure Sununu knows his endorsement won’t help. And I doubt he cares all that much. It’s just a case of Haley calling in a favor.

The Swamp Filth, aka campaign staff, of these candidates urge them to stay in (and keep getting paid) with only one possible imagined rationale. The removal of Trump.
They hope for death. They hope for assassination. They are terrified of trials not completing.
They are completely unsure of trials with a conviction and jail sentence. Odds are AT LEAST 50/50 that would improve Trump’s standing and he can certainly be on the ballots from jail. If not, he will be written in.
But the Swamp Filth likely doesn’t really care how court cases unfold. They just need a rationale to keep getting paid. And that is it.
Haley is ineligible anchor baby. She will NEVER get my vote.

I’d say Haley has a good chance in SC, as she was once Gov. I’m in GA and she’s my choice, but since GA has become #1 world-wide in film production bringing half of CA here, I don’t give any R much of a chance - least of all Trump.

She is the alternative candidate for women who DO NOT like Trump.
She is the middle of the road squish candidate for people who call themselves Republicans, but are not really conservatives.
