Russian casualties in Ukraine. (Mediazona count, updated)
Mediazone ^ | December 1, 2023 | Mediazone staff

Posted on 12/12/2023 6:52:31 PM PST by Kazan

38,261

Russian casualties corroborated by publicly available data as of 1 December

Mediazona, in collaboration with BBC News Russian service and a team of volunteers, continues gathering information on the Russian military casualties in Ukraine. The figures we provide are sourced from publicly available information, including social media posts from family members, local media coverage, and official statements from local authorities. However, these figures represent only a partial account and do not reflect the full extent of the casualties.

The actual death toll is likely significantly higher. A joint data investigation by Mediazona and Meduza estimated in July that by the end of May, approximately 47,000 Russians under the age of 50 had died in the Ukraine war.

The ridiculous propaganda spread by the Biden regime and repeated by resident moron zeepers here that Russia has suffered 315,000 causalities since the start of the war or that Russia has lost 87% of its troops that it started with when the war began is utter nonsense.

47,000 is no more believable than 350,000.

There’s plenty of death to go around on all sides of a war and Ukraine has gotten the worse of it they have a smaller population to begin with.

Ukraine is closely following the German propaganda model from WW2.

A political report of the German Armed Forces High Command of February 7th, 1942, declared that, "propaganda is the most important weapon of this campaign (the German campaign in the East). By its employment on a large scale, final victory in the East can be achieved far more quickly, and our losses of men can be greatly reduced."

10 on Prigozhin’s airplane. Several hundred on the Moskva. Putin’s butcher’s bill adds up quick. Causalities don’t matter, though, since Russians are born serfs and slaves to their Kremlin master.

Hard to tell as there’s endless conflicting reports and propaganda from both sides. My best guess would be around 80,000 to 100,000 Russian casualties with another 50,000 seriously wounded or amputees.

Ukraine would be around 350,000 to 450,000 casualties with another 150,000 seriously injured or amputees.

Obviously Russia has at least 300,000 casualties, or they wouldn’t need to recruit prisoners (like they’re doing now), or do another mobilization next spring (after the election)

If Ruzzian losses are this low at about 10% of the inasion force then why haven’t they won? 10% losses against a defender is winning. And Ruzzia isn’t winning.

One thing that has been clear on the Russian invasion is the masses of humanity that have flooded into the military in Russia, the large original Russian army, the reports of new groups of 300,000 or 500,000, or 700,000 new troops, the use of mass mercenary groups, 100,000 inmates from prisons, draft problems, recruiting problems, changes to call up 70-year-old reservists.

All that mass of humanity is going somewhere and doing something, and all the positive numbers of all the many, many 100s of thousands of troops Russia is training and using that get mentioned here are staggering, there has to be some negative story hidden in there somewhere.

Is this:
"However, these figures represent only a partial account and do not reflect the full extent of the casualties."

"The actual death toll is likely significantly higher."

Really so hard to understand?

All war memorials and cemeteries are monuments to the ignorance of mankind.

Both the Ukraine war-which should have never happened because of the ignorance/arrogance of US and European politicians, and the Israel-Palestinian conflict, are symptoms of misunderstanding histories and its causes. The result is the continued ignorance of mankind.

It has been said..”Tis good that war is so terrible lest we grow fond of it.”
Well, many people in this country have grown fond of it and eagerly search for it in every corner.

Might be best if mankind destroys itself totally and let the earth return to a natural state.

Well, the source is the rabidly pro-Ukrainian BBC. It has no reason to underestimate Russian causalities.

And, anyone that has been paying attention knows the militias of the LPR, DPR, Chechens and Wagner group, not regular Russian military, have done most of the offensive combat on the ground. So, the number is very realistic for regular Russian military causalities.

Do you think this info, on Russian losses, that came out today, had anything to do with Zelensky coming here today?

You missed this part:

The actual death toll is likely significantly higher. A joint data investigation by Mediazona and Meduza estimated in July that by the end of May, approximately 47,000 Russians under the age of 50 had died in the Ukraine war.

And, since Ukraine has been the side of the offensive (which always takes the most causalities) since June, the actual number of Russian causalities isn't very likely to be more than 70,000.

But, whatever sick fantasies get you through the day.

I have no doubt thinking about Russians dying gives you more of high than Viagra and any recreational drug of your choice could.

You are truly as sick an individual as Lindsey Graham.

“You are truly as sick an individual as Lindsey Graham.”

We have a bunch of bloodthirsty foreign weirdos on these Ukraine threads. It’s not their money and it won’t be their kids sent off to fight if the warmongers get their way.

“And Ruzzia isn’t winning.”

Correct, it has only achieved its objectives and NATO/Nuland can’t do a damn thing about it except get more Ukrainians killed.
