A member of an immigrant advocacy group represented by well-known Democratic attorneys is suing to stop a question aimed at requiring Nevadans to provide photo identification before voting from appearing on next year’s general election ballot.
The lawsuit, filed last Monday in Carson City District Court, argues that the ballot initiative is unconstitutional because its description of effect (a 200-word summary of the measure included on signature forms) does not reflect all of the question’s implications and would expend taxpayer funds as it does not have an identified funding source. Challenging the description of effect is a common tactic in Nevada to persuade judges to reject proposed ballot questions.
The suit was filed by a group of Nevada and Washington, D.C.-based attorneys, who are well known for representing Democratic Party causes, on behalf of Jennifer Fleischmann, the development director for Make the Road Nevada, an immigrant advocacy group.
Repair the Vote, a political action committee led by former Nevada Republican Club President and former Clark County GOP Chair David Gibbs, filed the petition for the ballot question last month. The initiative aims to amend Nevada’s constitution by requiring in-person voters to provide valid photo identification, and those voting by mail to provide a personally identifiable number — such as part of a driver’s license number or Social Security number — alongside their signature.
Nevada does not require voters to provide any type of identification before voting, but voters are required to provide a signature that must match the state’s files.

Anyone who backs people being allowed to vote with no ID must be participating in a felony——enabling or facilitating fraud in elections.
That means all of your Dem associates and relatives.

Remind them they had to use a PHOTO ID to rent a videotape, then a dvd, and to rent a car, or to rent a truck from UHaul type places. Or to get a controlled substance prescription filled at a pharmacy. Or withdraw money from a bank.
But to vote? “How dare you?”
Why do they need lawyers for this?
Legal immigrants who have become naturalized citizens are some of the most thoroughly identified people around. My citizenship is proven by a flimsy and a little beaten up decades old copy of my birth certificate. They have stacks of documents proving who they are vetted by any number of lawyers and government officials. Most I know immediately applied for a US passport right after their citizenship ceremony to be able to visit family. Photo ID is not a problem for them.
There’s no bluer state than Connecticut and I’ve had to show ID every time I’ve voted in over five decades.

Do not question the CCP progs, they have “deemed” the elections are all won by them.

I don’t need an ID for ANYTHING firearm related, that is a right enumerated in the Bill of Rights.
Drive a car? Nope.
Buy some booze? Nope.
Pay with a check? Nuhu!
Pack of smokes? No way.
Vote? Take a lesson from the progs, drop off “your” ballots(s) with a dump truck.

So there is an upside for the progs with all of this.
When a pack of prog prances up to someone waving a flag or praying in front of a Democrat death clinic and demands to know who they are there is a simple answer they can understand.
“I am Mr. F. K. Eww. Wanna see my hand carved walking cane?”
They just might be stupid enough to say yes.

Yep…there’s a reason our southern border is wide open.
They could never produce a government popular with all (informed and engaged Citizens) so they prefer to game the best election system ever.
They do not get it, however.

We need to require ID to vote in Nevada and in all states. Same rules as airport, courthouses, and everywhere.
No person shall be required to produce any means of identification than that which is necessary to register to vote or cast a vote in a Public Election.
