You haven’t figured out that NeoSoviet Russia is still a threat to its own people and to the West. Today’s Russia has a dictator holding onto power and pushing through his third decade as leader. Russia still murders its political dissidents and its opposition leaders. Russia still moves populations of people around, still uses human wave military tactics, and invades its neighbors. It allies itself with terrorist groups like Hamas, and terrorist countries like North Korea and Iran. It produces a hazed military that commits war crimes as a matter of policy.

And you still haven’t figured out that the Western Alliance is a military paper tiger, a de-industrialized mess, with a fagified, tranzzed, pozzed and geriatric “leadership” that is incapable of doing anything real.

You lot are going to drag all of NATO into another of your overseas failed wars.

The countries of the West are not capable of doing anything significant in Ukraine.

They can’t secure their own borders, build minimal amounts of artillery ammunition, or even reliably operate their electrical grid or natural gas systems.

If Putin is half of what you say he is, the clown-world “leaders” of the West need to connect with the reality of their reduced status, and stop trying ot be the world’s hall monitors.

If the West is that much of a mess, then why do Russian ballet stars still run off to the West just like in the earlier Cold War. Of course Olga Smirnova loves freedom and is not a Putin tool in the way that Reverend Wright is.

--- " There are way more than two sides to this one."

A clear and accurate statement. Thank you.

The game afoot -- all in the service of money, money and more money -- is to narrow discussion to only two sides, and then, sans agreement that Zelensky is the "savior," a declaration that one is some sort of Putin supporter. The reality of America's money problems, as "big money" demands more money --

>> GO ORBAN!!

My will is to die in America, maybe slumped over in a pile of spent brass, only GOD knows. But if I were the “fleeing” kind, Orban’s Hungary is one of the few places in the world to which I would consider fleeing.

Hear, hear. I’m in that camp as well.

>> And it is quite possible to believe “a pox on both their houses” when it comes to Putin and Zelensky. And Biden and the EU. There are way more than two sides to this one.

I’m also in THAT camp! Each of those principalities are evil and corrupt.

Yes!
Put one of those Hungarian border fences across our southern border.
That is where the fight should be.

Ukraine is critically dependent on EU and US funding as it continues to fight occupying Russian forces.

There would have been no war without it. This was always a US proxy war to protect the deep state money laundering operation.

It’s an imperfect metaphor, but Hungary bragging about not getting immigrants is like a nerdy boy in high school bragging about retaining his chastity.

Immigrants just go to rich countries and none of the peer poorer countries are being filled with these immigrants either.

I said the metaphor is imperfect because I think rejecting immigrants is a good thing, but right now only the rich European countries have them wanting to come in.

This is no big deal. If any individual EU nation wants to continue to fund Ukraine, they are certainly free to do so using their own money. Hungary is just objecting to using common EU funds.

One of the reasons I like Orban. He is fearless and sticks to what he says.

They were trying to buy him off and he said ....

Johnson ain’t no Orban. Meeting with that snake Ryan and voting for the snooping bill makes him smell bad.

I believe he will cave soon.

Take a look at Greece. Greece is a relatively poor country. Yet they are being flooded with illegal immigrants. Some are moving on to richer countries, as you noted. But many others enter Greece and stay in Greece. It’s a real problem.

If the goal of every illegal immigrant was to reach a rich nation like Germany, then Hungary wouldn’t need an expensive border fence in the first place. All they’d would need are signs pointing to Germany.

Greece is a country protruding far to the sea. Those coming from the sea land in Greece first.

Hungary is far from the sea. They’re like Bulgaria or the Czech Republic. Neither of these two are darlings of the alt-right. It’s just Hungary. The one showing the shittiest results in the post-commie peer group but having the loudest foreign supporters.

Loser identifying right in America is cheering on losers in Hungary because losers is what they have learned to cheer to.

Contrast Victor Orban’s resolute stand with Donald Trusk who flew to Brussels hours after getting sworn in as President to sign over the sovereignty of Poland to the European Union.

The West doesn’t deserve Orban.

Both sides suck. The Ukrainians have done a lot of that and more.

They banned all opposition parties.
Imprisoned opposition leaders.
Stopped all elections, indefinitely.
Engaged in ethnic cleansing, (per local Uke police chief)
Shelled civilian targets in breakaway provinces. (Eight years)
Voted to remove human rights for Russian-Ukrainians
Shot prisoners of war
Seized control of the Orthodox Church in Ukraine
Put their own government appointed people in charge of the U. O. Church.
Arrested and imprisoned dissenting priests and nuns.
Possibly, engaged in very limited chemical warfare.
Harbored Western biological warfare labs, with alleged virus “leaks”.
Violated the Minsk Peace Agreement

The bigger question is why you support either government.

It would be useful for guys to look at the situation and wonder how this funding would have occurred 100 years ago. Where would the money have come from?

What we are seeing is an avalanche of ones and zeros representing computer-created money out of nothing. The central banks across the world can capriciously create this substance called money with essentially no restriction at all and with a motivation of mere whimsy.

The point being, nothing might stop this. The presumption that there is some underpinning of logical thought that would bring an end to money creation faces a global preference that the wheels stay on the cart. Europe can send trillions to Ukraine, borrowed from the ECB, and then ask the ECB to expunge the loan. What would stop this? The market? Don’t be absurd. It can be paid off, too. Anyone filing an opposing lawsuit can be jailed.

If you do not understand how this could be so, do not presume there are people who do understand it and that it is all rational. It is not, and there are not. What exists is a universal desire to keep the System intact. The global deep state. It is very powerful.
