Unfortunately, what they’ll take to their new abode is their relative conservatism....what passed as conservative in the state they abandoned is a far cry from red state conservatism.

“”what passed as conservative in the state they abandoned is a far cry from red state conservatism.””

.

They can learn.

What might actually trip them up would be the mandatory firearm ownership laws.

If they meet the residency requirements of 18 years prior to enactment they should be allowed to take the loyalty oath.

If they are just arriving from out of the country it will be eight years continuous residence, property owner and passing the Republic of Texas Citizenship exam with a score of at least 80% correct answers out of 100 questions and a reviewed essay of 2500 words minimum THEN they will be allowed to take the loyalty oath.

Gaining citizenship in the Republic of Texas will be serious business and no, not everyone will make the grade.

If they don’t make it there will be no voting in any elections and no government benefits of any kind, what few that will actually exist.
