I pledge to withdraw from the Colorado GOP primary ballot until Trump is also allowed to be on the ballot, and I demand that Ron DeSantis, Chris Christie, and Nikki Haley do the same immediately - or else they are tacitly endorsing this illegal maneuver which will have disastrous consequences for our country. pic.twitter.com/qbpNf9L3ln— Vivek Ramaswamy (@VivekGRamaswamy) December 20, 2023

Brilliant Vivek goes into the nitty gritty with his legal mind
——————————-

“ The 14th Amendment was part of the “Reconstruction Amendments” that were ratified following the Civil War. It was passed to prohibit former Confederate military and political leaders from holding high federal or state office. These men had clearly taken part in a rebellion against the United States: the Civil War. That makes it all the more absurd that a left-wing group in Colorado is asking a federal court to disqualify the 45th President on the same grounds, equating his speech to rebellion against the United States.

And there’s another legal problem: Trump is not a former “officer of the United States,” as that term is used in the Constitution, meaning Section 3 does not apply. As the Supreme Court explained in Free Enterprise Fund v. Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (2010), an “officer of the United States” is someone appointed by the President to aid him in his duties under Article II, Section 2. The term does not apply to elected officials, and certainly not to the President himself. “

Noble gesture. I don’t see Crisco Christie doing the same.

Why is he not dropping out and uniting behind Trump right now? Why is that only demanded from one other candidate?

It may not be the best way to handle it, but I’m glad at least somebody is complaining about this travesty of justice. We need more to speak up.

At this point in time Trump is still on the ballot(not excluded). The way the order is written then it is very unlikely he will be removed in the near future.

It’s time for DeSantis and other Republican to fold up their campaign tents and rally behind Trump.

The real fight is against the fanatical Deep State evil-doers who are trying to take away our constitutional right to vote for our preferred candidates.

They are grabbing and consolidating the power to decide who may run for president and who may not.

And they are gradually having some success doing just that.

No...Pledge all the delegates you win in Colorado to Trump. You’ll win 60% of the vote.

“Noble gesture. I don’t see Crisco Christie doing the same.”

I see them all doing it. If they don’t they are done. They are done anyway, this just puts them on record.

Colorado dis not ban Trump. Several people banned Trump in Colorado’s name.

Those individuals must be outed and severely punished.

From pages 8-9....

"But for our resolution of the Electors’ challenge under the Election Code, the Secretary would be required to include President Trump’s name on the 2024 presidential primary ballot.

Therefore, to maintain the status quo pending any review by the U.S. Supreme Court, we stay our ruling until January 4, 2024 (the day before the Secretary’s deadline to certify the content of the presidential primary ballot). If review is sought in the Supreme Court before the stay expires on January 4, 2024, then the stay shall remain in place, and the Secretary will continue to be required to include President Trump’s name on the 2024 presidential primary ballot, until the receipt of any order or mandate from the Supreme Court."
