Didn't stop Colorado from preventing Trump being on the POTUS ballot in that state. California will be next, and when that happens, many more states will issue the same constraint. All for "nothing to hide".

This is as much about generating negative publicity for Perry as it is about the partisan witch hunt against Trump.

Perry is the lone conservative in the PA delegation, which makes him the lone conservative member of the House in the entire northeastern U.S.

Perry's district was gerrymandered back in 2018 by the PA Democrat Supreme Court, and it's a little surprising that he's managed to survive as long as he has since he is normally in the crosshairs every 2 years (2022 was an exception).

The district is pretty marginal though tilts slightly Republican, and it wouldn't take much to flip it over to some liberal Democrat scumbag in 2024:
