Ex-president Donald Trump took to his TruthSocial platform to advertise his $99 digital trading cards that depict him in various heroic settings, just after Colorado judges barred him from running for the GOP primary in the Rocky Mountain state.
In the wake of the decision, Trump spokesperson Steven Cheung said that the campaign had already lodged an appeal to the decision with the US Supreme Court.
Trump first launched the cards in December last year. The first versions depicted him as a superhero. At the time of the launch, it was confirmed that the proceeds from the cards to not go towards his political campaigns.
Bringing an appeal to the US Supreme Court is not for the feint of wallet. Lawyers generally charge six figures to argue in front of the court of last resort.
On Tuesday, a divided Colorado court ruled Trump ineligible for the White House under the US Constitution's insurrection clause and removed him from the state's presidential primary ballot.

I’ve heard his ad multiple times on XM/Sirius today. A bit surprising and odd for presidential candidate. Is he short on cash? The add is not identified as part of the campaign, this is Trump directly or via a commercial vendor.

Call them out. There have been those types as far back as when this site was started. Back then it was individuals. Although as the years have gone by, I'm pretty sure some (or groups of some) are 'sponsored".
