New York Mayor Eric Adams blasted city council’s “far-left agenda” after it approved two controversial bills on Wednesday banning solitary confinement for inmates in jails and forcing police officers to report every street encounter, no matter how small.
The embattled mayor, a former NYPD captain, was staunchly opposed to both bills, whose passage he blamed on a “numerical minority” that is “controlling the narrative.”
“This assault on public safety is just wrong,” Adams told WABC radio host John Catsimatidis on his “Cats & Cosby Show” Wednesday night.

Some inmates would fear for their lives if not in solitary confinement. The guards can't protect them.
....we are getting to a point to where a Public Safety Commission will have to be established for cities like NYC, Austin, Portland, SFO, Chicago etc; etc;
Such a public safety commission would have the power to suspend “radical” laws passed by LEFTY city councils until such a time that the so called “law” could be voted on in a state wide referendum.
Austin already has one kinda sorta. It’s called the Texas Legislature. The legislature has many times dead stopped silly, specious, radical left wing ordinances passed by the City Council or considered by the City Council.
You mayor Adams gave a placard to those on the city council whom you now disagree with. You made your political bed with them and now you have to lie in it.
