“The laws essentially eliminated R-1 single-family zoning everywhere in California, allowing up to six housing units on lots formerly limited to one and making approval automatic for high-rise residential buildings on all streets reasonably close to mass transit.”

“That meant easy permitting, for example, for buildings up to five stories on any street where officials suddenly open a new bus line.”

quotes:

They’ve rejected five separate appeals for an independent and comprehensive audit of signatures in Fulton County. Even without an audit, the number of fraudulent ballots that we’ve identified across the state is staggering.

Over 10,300 ballots in Georgia were cast by individuals whose names and dates of birth match Georgia residents who died in 2020 and prior to the election.

More than 2,500 ballots were cast by individuals whose names and dates of birth match incarcerated felons in Georgia prison. People who are not allowed to vote.

More than 4,500 illegal ballots were cast by individuals who do not appear on the state’s own voter rolls.

Over 18,000 illegal ballots were cast by individuals who registered to vote using an address listed as vacant, according to the Postal Service.

At least 88,000 ballots in Georgia were cast by people whose registrations were illegally backdated.

Sixty-six thousand votes, each one of these is far more than we need. Sixty-six thousand votes in Georgia were cast by individuals under the legal voting age.

And at least 15,000 ballots were cast by individuals who moved out of the state prior to November 3 election. They say they moved right back. They moved right back. Oh, they moved out, they moved right back. OK. They missed Georgia that much. I do. I love Georgia, but it’s a corrupt system.

Despite all of this, the margin in Georgia is only 11,779 votes.

Each and every one of these issues is enough to give us a victory in Georgia, a big beautiful victory.

Make no mistake, this election was stolen from you, from me and from the country.

The OP should have written that the 1930s average income was $1300. Then everything works out consistently. Typos happen.

That makes more sense.

The Great Recession for me was as bad as the Great Depression was for anybody who went through it.

On the cheery side, this collapse in the value of money means there won’t be as much wealth around for all the gangs of illegal aliens to steal.

math, a bothersome little thing

My late parents retired well enough but not rich at all. One a teacher and one a fairly high level civil service employee. In retirement they bought a series of Buick's, Oldsmobile's and Cadillac's. All nice cars, top of the various lines. This was less than 25 years ago. I am now retired with something like three to four times their retirement income, I know because I did their last year's taxes. I could not begin to afford a new car like they did. Not even close.

That is my example of how things have changed.

Name one thing this gooberment has done that has made things better or less expensive. Just one. Virtually everything they have touched they have effed up completely.

Gov’t has done a lot but I believe the single biggest thing that has happened is the end of $3 oil in 1973.

The equivalent today would be $20. If we had $20 oil for 30 years straight with no environmental retards trying to wreck things, it would be a totally different economy for every Western country.

Remove every foreign immigrant since 1965 and it gets even better. Remove “Civil Rights” law and it improves earn more.

Tax revenue as a percent of GDP is between 15-25% constantly.
It’s the economic opportunity that affords 60% of tax returns to pay $0, the giant welfare state and $200,000,000,000,000 debt/unfunded liabilities while the US dollar is still unparalleled king of earth with no competition even existing. The Euro barely made a dent.

The biggest difference between then and now is wealth actually mattered. Electricity, indoor plumbing, superior medical care, cars and on and on. These days doctors are largely educated the same, we eat the same food, everyone owns the modern conveniences....wealth in America is largely banal.
