Republicans have a 2/3 majority in the legislature in a 50/50 state. LOL.

There are many “islands” in many of the districts. In one case, an island consists of a single house!

Skimming the article though, these “islands” are because the municipalities themselves have “islands” - so as the article seems to point out, if the towns are discontinuous and the constitution requires both continuity and following municipal boundaries, which wins? I would argue that a following a discontinuous town line doesn’t render the district discontinuous.

Legislature dissolves High Court, film at 11... is what should be the response.

"John Marshall has made his decision, now let him enforce it.”

Lots of “true blue conservatives” refusing to turn out and vote helped make that happen.

The Republicans had every opportunity to do just that by impeaching one of the Dem Supreme Court justices. (The justice would have been suspended pending impeachment trial). They easily had the votes and then backed down when put up or shut up time came.

what a shock. The Republic is done.

>>>We have unequivicably spiraled into a Banana Republic, careening totally out of control.

The Rats can willy-nilly alter the political landscape and the GOP is forced to accept and live with the consequences.

I do not believe courts have any lawful authority over State Legislatures in the realm of drawing legislative districts.
