I intend to find out, but I’m sure that it’s due to his use of raw jalapenos in his kettle (as asinine as that is).
But I’m sure that using preservative-laden jalapeno flavoring with E621 (MSG), E631 (Disodium inosinate) and E627 (Disodium guanylate) is just hunky dory. /s
