Lauren Boebert will switch congressional districts to improve her chances of winning in 2024

Rep. Lauren Boebert announced Wednesday night that she is ditching her reelection bid next year in Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District to run instead in the state’s 4th Congressional District, which is on the other side of the state and is far more favorable to Republicans.

Boebert won by just 546 votes last year in the 3rd District, which spans Colorado’s Western Slope into Pueblo and southeastern Colorado. The 4th District is anchored in Douglas County and includes Loveland and the state’s rural Eastern Plains.

It’d be fun to have Boebert as my rep.

This deals out Mesa County, the crooked Mesa County judges and the ballot factories in Grand Junction.

"Dirty Jena" Griswold might blow a vein in her temple when she hears about this.

Actually, this shows what a team player that Lauren Boebert is, unlike Chris "Pus-Producing Pimple" Sununu.

By getting out of the 3rd CD, she reduces the incentive for rabid anti-Boebert voters and the associated Democrat ballot factories to turn out in force with their ONE MISSION.

Their zeal will not be as jihad-like as it was in 2022.

Bummer that she has to do it to keep a seat. She’s a fighter and we don’t have too many of those. It’s also a reflection of Trump’s support. Too many fair weather republican voters.

GOP has a 9 point advantage in her current district. Should be enough to win. Perhaps she can get away with the white trash behavior easier so we can expect more. ?Buck is a disgusting excuse for a republican isn’t he?

Didn't they redistrict her in 2022, which is why she barely won in her new district?

She was going to lose the primary.

Even if she won the primary, the newly gerrymandered 3rd district will still go for a Democrat representative. The addition of Pueblo (a solid Democrat stronghold) and the subtraction of Western slope precincts guarantees the outcome. The 3rd district will go Democrat in the 2024 "election". It won't even require fraud for that result.

The 4th district will go Republican, no matter who is running for that representative position. Boebert is a plausible candidate. Ken Buck was a compromised RINO who would have lost the primary if he had not already resigned.

That, and they were gleefully stuffing ballot boxes in Grand Junction, after "Dirty Jena" Griswold [Colorado Secretary of Soros] got rid of Tina Peters.

It’s great that Boebert is maximizing her chances of remaining in Congress because we need more like her in the GOP caucus as opposed to the former conservative but current wimp (Ken Buck) that she’ll be replacing.

But some of the assertions being made in this thread are hilariously incorrect as concerns Boebert’s current (soon to be former) district.

Mesa County: a solid Republican county where Boebert won by 11,000 votes in 2022. She lost the rest of the district by nearly 11,000 votes. If Mesa is some big epicenter of Democrat vote fraud in this district, then they are really bad at it.

And no, the district was not “gerrymandered” in 2022, Pueblo was not an “addition” and the district was made MORE REPUBLICAN in 2022 (not less) than it had been in the decade from 2010-2020.

It is a Republican district but a marginal one — for Boebert and for Trump. Otherwise it’s reasonably solid.

The only way a Democrat can win it is to have all the money in the world to work with, and to have a hideously unpopular Republican opponent. Now that equation is only 50% true instead of 100% true for the House election in 2024.

The Democrat who will be running in CO-3 DOES have all the money in the world. But now the GOP will nominate someone squishier (and more likely to win) AND this will happen without sacrificing Boebert. It’s as close to a win-win as you’re going to get, purists who demand perfection notwithstanding.

The only downside is that there is *hardly* a guarantee that Boebert will win the primary in CD-4. But whoever DOES win it — Boebert or someone else — should be perfectly safe in that R+13 district, while the GOP now has a much better chance of holding CD-3.

I live in the 4th and Boebert can take a hike.

She's a political whore now. It's all about retaining power - at the expense of her husband, her 4 kids, and the nation.

Understand, this is coming from someone who was one of her most avid supporters when she first ran for office. Washington, DC and the fact that she hid her lack of moral code has destroyed her.

She needs to resign, repent, and seek to put her life back together in some form of normalcy - not go running for the 4th...
