Beginning January 1, 2024, illegal aliens residing in California will become eligible for taxpayer-funded health insurance — the first state in the nation to enact such a policy.
In June of this year, Newsom touted the budget agreement that will make California the first state in the United States to offer health insurance, subsidized by taxpayers, to the state’s estimated 4.4 million illegal aliens so long as they are low-income.
Starting in the new year, illegal aliens in California will qualify for Medi-Cal, which is California’s state-funded version of the federal government’s Medicaid program. Since 2015, only illegal alien children qualified for Medi-Cal thanks to then-Gov. Jerry Brown (D).
Likewise, Newsom expanded eligibility for Medi-Cal to illegal aliens 50 years and older as well as those aged 19 to 25. This latest expansion is set to add about 764,000 Medi-Cal recipients to the state’s health insurance rolls.

Newsome is one piece of work. Liar, adulterer, and he now intends to load the state with more illegals and depriving American citizens of health care while forcing them to pay for illegals’ health care. The state is already bankrupt. He should be tried for treason that bastard.

Simply buying votes. If one gets a “benefit”,one will not vote that benefit away. So thus,Republicans are meanies if they logically go against entitlement especially from illegals.
I can’t imagine being in Cali,
paying some of if not the highest combined taxes in America,
dealing with crime,

and now going to work to pay health insurance for non-americans,
when you also have to pay for your own.

And it’s not just a money thing. If you’re going to add, say, 20% more people to the rolls you’d better have 20% more hospital space, 20% more doctors, 20% more nurses, etc.
I don’t see how California will be able to do all that. More likely everyone will now just have to wait longer and longer for medical services. Kinda like the “free” medical care in the UK.

The dude has the state in the hole with a record 68 billion dollar deficit. What better way to cure it than to attract poor illegal migrants to the state promising them free health care.
Seems to me those whiny sanctuary city mayors in NYC, Chicago and Denver should be revving up the busses and shipping the
product of their sanctuary city stupidity to California. I’m sure Abbott in Texas is lining up the express busses from Eagle Pass to LA
