Still, every day, a simple man or woman is confronted by reality. They might be getting mugged in New York, or have a homeless San Fran drug addict rage on them and hit them with a brick, or go to the grocery store and see the half cart of stuff they need to live now costs what a full cart cost 12 months ago, or wind up stuck in traffic for hours because the BLM or Paley-stine protesters have blocked the streets again, or can no longer afford a gas stove, gas lawnmower, new car that isn’t EV, because all these things are priced right out of the middle class...
Whatever it is SA, the scales fall off at some point.
I hope the man on the street wakes up enough to throw the bums out despite what the boobs on the boob tube tell them.

Alas, the only thing giving me hope is the motley crew of Free Republic. The last politicians I give any faith to is Ohio’s new Senator J.D. Vance who is rooted in Hillbillies and wrote about it in Hillbilly Elegy, and Dr. Rand Paul of next door Kentucky who shows so much guts and honor reminiscent of Henry Clay also of Ky back in the day (1777-1852). I hear the smooth talk of Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and recent GOP Speakers of the House until they fail to address or pursue the burning issues of our time. Thank you Mr. Robinson and FR and Alas for keeping the flame alive and Rodguy for so many valuable contributions.
