Don’t give up hope on the college educated especially STEM grads quite yet. Once they get past the single issue votes and get into the working world many can be converted to fiscal conservatives after paying their first year of real taxes. They will never be moral conservatives it’s not how they were raised but we can grow the fiscal, small govt, closed borders, strong military numbers. Accept that their generation is not morally the same and NEVER will be. Welcome them into a strong USA position don’t alienate them because they don’t believe in your God or your ideals of marriage or sexuality.
They key stop letting the left use abortion as a club to beat the right with. Compromise, close the issue and move on to much more important issues. drew, and minority rep are right this is a battle the far right cannot win with the current demographics, morals and religious beliefs of the under 40s generations.
God will avenge the innocent blood with us or against us. That’s the choice. Mace can’t even govern her own body.
The far right will continue to lose biggly as Trump would say until you diehards accept the reality that your position is in the minority over all and is decidedly in the minority in the numerically superior youth block. Compromise and move on before we lose the whole country. If you can’t do that then stay home we will be voting for Trump who is behind a number of weeks compromise and move on to the real work.
You are delusional if you think you an older boomer probably is going to tell a 20s man or woman what they can and cannot do with their genitals as you say. The hubris of that is mind blowing. It’s little wonder we are losing fraud doesn’t explain Kansas. The end result will be the same the left will get the country and all the abortions they want when they want them past even 20 weeks in that case. Trump is pragmatic save the nation first or everything else doesn’t matter.
What’s your solution to convincing the youth to vote against their wishes and sexual freedoms? Tell them to keep their legs shut? Tell them your morals and your God that they don’t believe in demands they not have sex and if they do they must have a baby they don’t want and can’t afford without our taxpayer welfare. Come to a campus and bring a bullhorn and shout that I’ll bring the popcorn and a HD camera to post the outcome on X as an example of how not to gain youth votes.
You are either for abortion or against abortion. There is no in between.
Your salvation is more important than an election.
I stand corrected. Your racism is a quite accurate reflection of you.
Sick pup.
Sick pup.
You do bring up valid points. The pragmatic side of me is inclined to agree. Yet that won’t hold weight when I have to explain my conscience at judgment.
Sadly I think the pro-Hamas demonstrations showed all too well the nature of today’s youth.
Well we are in agreement. Your racism is repulsive.
I think I will start by imaging Free Republic without certain posters.
Disgusting.
The country has spoken every state that has referendum laws has legalized abortion by sizeable margins even in red states. Fraud is not the cause for that. I know dozens of right voting people who are pro-choice to a point it’s between 8 to 15 weeks for any reason and for the life of the mother at all times. From the left those points also fit for a large number. Only a few far lefties are third trimester for any reason. When the far right demands zero tolerance on abortion this fires up not only the far left but those in the center and center left who would accept a 15 week compromise and outlaw elective later term with an exception for the life of the mother. What happens is you get an Ohio amendment making sure the far right can never go zero tolerance without another amendment. The side result was the back lash for pushing zero tolerance makes Ohio now a up till birth state when the 15 week compromise would have passed had both sides been behind it.
As the boomers die off you will never have the numbers for zero tolerance at the federal level and every state that has referendum laws has already tossed compromise out. Texas doesn’t have referendum of it would already have been on the ballot and passed. Nearly every Democrat would vote yes and 30% of the center right would vote yes as well bank on it.
We need to stop demanding moral issues as a political entity they are losing issues. We need to hammer the left with immigration, the economy, inflation, energy security, and debt. Those are winning issues in the center and some on the left as well. We can’t do that until the single issue voters are comfortable with the compromise.
#120 - not a good look, my advice for you is to report abuse to the Mods and to apologize for your comment. We all make mistakes.
No, it’s not over. If America can sleep well at night knowing that thousands of little babies get mashed every day to a bloody pulp, then we don’t deserve a free country.
Making empty gestures which accomplish nothing but guaranteeing defeat is not important to me.
This isn't the way to do it. You have to take the long road. Religion. Work with your church. One by one.
Politically, this is a dead issue. At least in the short term (and medium term as well).
I KNOW! We are already going to be DESTROYED!!
I’m not worried about my salvation. The private actions and choices of others is of no concern of mine. I don’t internalize what others chose with their God given free will. It’s not my place to judge them remember thou shalt not judge. Freedom is just that the freedom to make choices that has zero effect on my life other than taking more taxes for welfare when people keep breeding like ghetto rabbits.
It always surprises me that those who claim to be all about personal responsibility and freedom want to regulate morality all the time and not just with abortion, the gays, drugs but then at the same time don’t you dare touch alcohol. The second worst drug by deaths every year or nicotine the worst by deaths. Both should be schedule one drugs by definition of what makes a schedule one srug on that list.
