A report by the OECD indicates Ireland had no excess deaths during the pandemic years 2020 to 2022, suggesting many of the thousands who died “with COVID” would have died anyway.
The Irish government, notorious for its panicked approach to the coronavirus, targeted its religious citizens for some of its harshest antivirus measures, outlawing going to church for more than a third of the year 2021.
Ireland’s ban on in-person religious worship went into effect in late 2020 and endured until May of 2021, despite widespread criticism.

They must’ve gotten the vaccine before we did.
Not really.
but the government wants to starve some to make up for it
How about the excess deaths after the scamdemic? You know, the vaxx poisoned, suddenly died deaths we see every day.
wondering what “excess deaths” actually means in the real world. “there were excess deaths when the lions escaped at the zoo”. “there were no excess deaths in the crash because some people missed their flight”. makings of a word salad fit for a viceprez?
No excess deaths?
That means they killed everyone they wanted dead, with no extras...............
Their government lies to them continuously, but the majority of them eat it up. The OECD published the report, so take it as you will.
Alcohol got ‘em first?
Why do I think the gubmint will argue there were no excess deaths because they locked up the entire population for that period of time and thus gubmint is the hero in their narrative?
Good one. I only believe guys in phone booths who come from the future!
Not credible. A death can have a joint cause in that it eould not have occurred unless both causes were present at the time of death. There were surely some weakened people who would not have died at that time without the disease. You can’t say that it not an excess death because, without the disease, the person would have died several years later.
I question the finding, as Ireland had a death rate of 1,868 per million population. (For comparison, the US had 3,555 deaths per million population.) However, the Irish Times article pointed out that deaths from other causes, such as accidents, other diseases, and violence were down and the population increased by 8%, all factors which may have balanced out the deaths from Covid. And no, Ireland did not count accident, violent, or other infectious disease deaths as Covid deaths, regardless of what the antivax conspirators would try to say.
The Breitbart article, of course, spins this horribly. The very measures taken to protect people from Covid are spun as unnecessary because relatively fewer people died from it. "The precautions worked, therefore they were not necessary" is not logical thinking. In reality, the numbers show that the public health measures worked.
It's a real shame that charlatans in the US coordinated to spread antivax and medical misinformation messages throughout social media before the WHO even declared a pandemic. Faster than warp speed: early attention to COVD-19 by anti-vaccine groups on Facebook. They did so much to undermine public health efforts and give us the 15th highest Covid death rate in the world. And they are still doing everything they can to keep our Covid death rates high.
Since Breitbart (and so many other "conservative" media outlets) decided to go full-tilt with the antivax/medical misinformation messaging, I have to wonder if I can trust anything they publish. If they lie about Covid, what else are they lying about?
Would have died anyway. That’s what I’ve been saying all along.
On the other hand, how about the excess deaths and disabilities to vaccine victims? When will we see those figures?
Nope. It means that in a normal year a certain number of people usually die from all causes. Excess deaths are those significantly more than the usual number.
That’s because Covid was a hoax. A lot of us figured that out after the first several weeks.
First, there was the fact that it was supposed to be a deadly killer, but instead you just caught a cold for a few days.
Next, it was those stupid fake tests where you could test both positive and negative on the same day, and the only way to verify if you actually had Covid was to take another fake test.
Then, the fact that they were paying hospitals $35k per Covid case and extra to list Covid as the primary cause of death. That’s not at all suspicious.
But being a Republican that had witnessed how they weaponized Katrina against Bush, it was pretty obvious the Democrats were looking to make this Trump’s Katrina..
Looking back at the way people got so easily fear-mongered with Covid, and allow it to be them be used to steal an election - I lost respect for so many people. How can people be so compliant?
A statistically highly improbable swath of extra deaths necessitating an unbiased investigation as to the cause, including whether or not that cause is continuing.
“...antivax conspirators...”
Gaslight.
OECD research shows Ireland avoided excess deaths during core pandemic years
CoupFlu was a scam.
