Andy Cohen revealed he was hoodwinked out of “a lot of money” after a fraudster duped him into handing over his personal details.
The “Watch What Happens Live” host, 55, said he received a phone call about a potential fraud on his bank account, and he offered up his information believing it was related to a debit card he recently lost.
“Someone called saying they were fraud alert from my bank,” he said on an episode of his Daddy Diaries podcast last week. “Then [they] asked for my Apple ID and password. And I was like, ‘OK, this never happens,’” Cohen went on.

A fool and his money are soon parted pretty well answers this one.
we follow one simple rule in this household...IF our financial institution contacts us in any way, shape or form, we say “thank you for the information” and then contact our financial institution independently. we are close enough to actually go in person to talk to an officer but if you can’t, make sure to contact your institution on a verifiable number and talk to a officer of your bank for further information.
Smart.
When my bank calls me it is someone I know personally from the bank.
That is precisely how you should do it.
Also, banks should only wire based on the same approach.
Was this before he was celebrating the New Year on tv with Anderson’s Pooper?
There’s a lot of stupid and clueless people out there, and most of them are liberals.
The same here.
IF ANYONE EVER GETS SUCH A CALL-—
GO DIRECTLY TO YOUR BANK & DISCUSS IT THERE WITH THEM.
HOW CAN ANYONE BE SO GULLIBLE & HAVE SUCH A HIGH PROFILE???
Debit cards are nothing but trouble. I would never have one.
He should have called his bank when he lost his debit card.
Agreed—I never would want a debit card.
My recommendation for anyone who does have one is to use a checking account with a small amount in it.
Keep another checking account with no debit card for large purchases or payments.
Is the FAG talk for being stupid?
even if someone you knew called, I would NEVER give anyone my password!
this person was an idiot
He has a high profile because he is malleable and gullible and will do what he is told by his handlers.
What a dumbass no wonder he got ripped off
Always call back to ensure it really was from your bank.
When anyone calls you ask for that kind of info, it is ALWAYS a scam.
Good policy, it should apply also to any gummint agency.
