Nearly 6 in 10 American workers saw their wages grow more quickly than inflation in the past year, according to a new analysis from the Center for American Progress (CAP), a left-leaning think tank.
Some 57 percent of workers earned higher inflation-adjusted wages in November compared to one year earlier, the analysis found. This represents a larger share of workers than the average before the COVID-19 pandemic, between 2017 and 2019.
“In fact, real wages for a typical worker stand at about the level expected if there had been no pandemic or recession in early 2020 and if they had kept growing at the same rate as in years prior,” the CAP noted in the study released Wednesday.

My MIL got me a subscription to the local newspaper for Christmas (I DO like the funnies!).
But just today there was a long editorial column in there about how great the economy was doing, and he hopes that people are “smart” enough to see it so that democracy can live on past the 2024 election.
I have to view reading the paper as “knowing your enemy”.
If true, it’s because many states are making significant increases to the minimum wage because too many young people don’t want to work anymore. But where I live, it’s very difficult for someone earning the minimum wage of $18.00 to afford even a one-bedroom apartment.

So, it begins. The media is now officially tied into and amplifying Biden and Democrat campaign storylines. This one as follow through on the Democrat campaign storyline that the economy has been much better than most people realize.
Eh…earned mere…than what, exactly?
Even if it wasn’t BS, that doesn’t mean they have more money for living expenses.

Sad that almost all media in this country have become outright scams. No concern about the truth. Only the agenda.
Run it through the heritage foundation and see where the lies are. My guess is increased taxes and real inflation have eaten up any ‘gains’ and in fact most households and individuals are falling behind.
Well, if true that 60% did earn more, it’s because they played their cards right. That would be because they know how to adapt, improvise and overcome, you know — like good Americans (unlike the 40% who are shiftless).
But I suspect the whole story is suspect.
