Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine (R) said he vetoed legislation protecting children from transgender procedures because of personal appeals from families, rather than lessons learned from science-based research.
“Parents many times look me in the eye and said, ‘Governor, my child would not be alive today. They would have taken their life but for the ability to participate in this program,'” DeWine told Eyewitness News on Wednesday.
“For me that was very telling,” the Ohio governor said, after vetoing the bill to protect kids from commercial pressure to accept irreversible and experimental transgender-related hormones and surgeries.

if your child is a danger to themselves maybe instead of screwing up their minds and body with drugs and surgery, they should be commited to a facility that handles suicidal patients, and you should get out of the parenting game.

Allowing these misguided youths to proceed with a transition, in a supposed effort to “prevent their suicide”, only kicks the can down the road, when in the years up ahead, they become TRULY suicidal, because they agreed to something irreversible in their earlier years, and now recognize they are now sterilized and likely to need much medical intervention for the remainder of their lives.
This is not health care. This is sentencing a relative innocent to years of physical agony with no compensation, and no real future beyond a sterile and restricted existence.
Now we know what a $40,000 “donation” from hospitals that want to do “trans” surgeries will buy.
