This level of overturning the result of an election is a capital offense (I wish I was being sarcastic).I'm not a lawyer but I remember reading this. If these prosecutions are brought as violations of the treason laws (which seem plausible), they could be capital offenses. I'm not sure there would be support for executions but capital offenses have no statute of limitations. So unless Brandon pardons the main perpetrators on his way out, the threat of prosecution remains with a PO'd Donald Trump in charge of the DOJ.
