Initial US employment reports overstated by 439,000 jobs in 2023

There’s something wrong with previous U.S. jobs reports.

The government quietly erased 439,000 jobs through November 2023, a closer look at the numbers from the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows.

That means its initial jobs results were inflated by 439,000 positions, and the job market is not as healthy as the government suggests.

Since the government wiped out 439,000 jobs after the fact, the total percentage of jobs created by the government last year is even higher.

Increased government hiring has been driving the jobs numbers higher.

The Obama administration boosted their jobs numbers by increased government hiring and moving long-term unemployed to disability. SSI disability was really easy to get especially for union members.

...the job market is not as healthy as the government suggests.

I wonder if there is anyone on the planet who still believes anything the gov't says?

Along the same lines, can someone explain to me a rationale of why food and fuel prices are not part of the Consumer Price Index...other than to deceive the reader?

The public “education” regime doesn’t teach math anymore because it’s “racist” and “white supremacist”.

Democrat thugs and goons who run DC happily lie for democrats... Then they wonder why citizens don’t trust or respect them anymore.

Surely you don’t mean... that the Government LIED to us, do you? That just can’t be!

Bureau of Labor Statistics numbers (like inflation numbers) have been so heavily massaged along with corrupt methodology as to be nothing but propaganda. This been the case for decades.

ONE lost full time job replaced by TWO part time jobs is NOT a net gain of a job. And government hiring is NOT real job creation.

Claiming that people who have given up trying to find work are not unemployed is done only for the purpose of lowering the “official” unemployment rate.

Seasonal adjustments have long been a way of tweaking the numbers and have very iffy methodology. Primarily just wishful thinking.

Quietly revising down claimed new jobs months later is flat out lying. During Obama’s reign job growth was retroactively revised down EVERY SINGLE MONTH. Ditto for the GDP. Never up

When the GDP is reported, do you ever see it stated whether it is the real (inflation figured in) or nominal (Inflation left out) GDP?

Exactly. I remember I noticed this in the Obama admin. They would give the stats; and, then a week or two later, the stats would be revised, downward.

I know two people who found jobs and 40 who lost them in 2023.
During Trump, even my ex could find a job.
