The leftist goal is for us to sit down, shut up and obey.
That is what they mean by “come together”.
We have nothing in common with”progressives”. No shared values. No common goals. They continue to expand government which means our freedom contracts. Their voters demand largess from the Treasury. We want to be left alone (with reasonable and equal application of only a few necessary rules/laws).
The Left promises to provide their voters with necessities for obedience, like the CCP.
EVERY political compromise has been away from the conservative position and towards the liberal/leftist position. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.
They WANT us to "sit down and come together" because that means further progress towards their goals.
