House Republicans on Monday released their findings recommending that Hunter Biden be held in contempt of Congress.
The contempt resolutions and reports from the House Oversight and Judiciary committees come ahead of scheduled Wednesday votes in both panels after the president’s son skipped a closed-door deposition last month.

Republicans, in their findings, argue that Hunter Biden had “no valid reason” to defy their subpoena for a closed-door interview. Hunter Biden’s legal team, and congressional Democrats, have pushed for a public hearing — pointing back to comments from Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) earlier last year where he appeared open to the idea.
