Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to Address 2024 Libertarian Party of California Annual Convention
Independent Political Report ^ | January 8, 2024 | Jordan Willow Evans

Posted on 01/09/2024 5:37:41 AM PST by Angelino97

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will speak to Libertarians attending the 2024 Libertarian Party of California Annual Convention scheduled for this coming February. Kennedy’s speaking slot will take place later in the afternoon as part of the lunch bloc, following a panel featuring two candidates seeking the Libertarian Party presidential nomination that Kennedy is also expected to attend.

“Yes, it’s true. We’re excited to announce that @RobertKennedyJr is joining us as a special guest for the 2024 LPCA Annual Convention! Convention dates are February 23-25,” the Libertarian Party of California posted on X Sunday afternoon...

While the specific topics of Kennedy’s speech currently remain unknown, comments by LPCA Chair Adrian Malagon on X suggest that the choice to invite Kennedy revolves around encouraging dialogue between him and the Libertarian Party presidential candidates who are attending the convention...

Additional correspondence from the Libertarian Party of California advertising Kennedy’s speech at the 2024 Annual Convention reads that Kennedy will also be participating in the presidential candidate panel alongside Rectenwald and ter Maat. According to the correspondence, Kennedy’s participation will offer presidential candidates in attendance a chance to see how they compare against a candidate outside of the Libertarian Party’s “inner circle.”

News of the decision to invite Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to the Libertarian Party of California’s 2024 Annual Convention has invited both commendations and criticism from Libertarians on social media.

I doubt Kennedy would address the California LP unless he was seeking their presidential nomination. And I doubt the LP would invite him unless some members were interested.

If he runs as the Green candidate Trump wins. If he runs as the Libertarian candidate Biden wins.

He’ll tease us libertarians-wing republicans. Disinvite him.

Having him there is like playing a retired Magic Johnson in the NBA Allstar game the year after he was diagnosed with HIV. The NBA knew nobody watches the game so their marketers came up with the magic bullet solution. The controversy over exposing other players in the early days of the epidemic helped as any controversy is good publicity.

Kennedy gives publicity to the Libertarians, otherwise nobody notices. They allow themselves to be used by the left to the point where 3-4 senate elections in the Pacific northwest went to the democrats. Slade Gordon comes to mind + a couple of others. They may have been rinos that lost but it always sets us back. They criticize both parties equally meaning they’re pulling their punches against the left.

Like the NBA fans we’re being played.

There’s more. Think of the universal DH in baseball. I gave it up over that but if it produces more fans what do I know? The NFL-just look at all the new rules designed to help the QB and receivers that (just like the DH) puts more offense into the game.

Wild card weekend coming up. We’ll get to watch all the poor quality teams earn their participation trophies. Fans in those cities will have that hope right up until that moment they get their butts kicked. Something tells me the players know if they’re team is not good enough for their season to continue so they mail it in looking forward to the 6 months off. Sometimes they luck out-just like the lotto. Me, I’m way up in the cheap nosebleed seats(preseason) where nobody sits. Binoculars in hand, walkman wrapped around my ears I get to watch the head-banging in meaningless endeavors. That wets my whistle and the winter months are spent in front of the big screen. Life’s good. No more fighting it out in the workplace trenches. Let somebody else do it.

The Libertarian Party seems too downmarket for a Kennedy to me. He may speak to them but I can’t imagine he’d have any interest in being their candidate.

BTW, I finally managed to see RFK Jr. on TV and was impressed. He’s a big unredeemed leftist on some things but makes a lot of sense on other things and generally comes across as a good guy, and formidable. Also I didn’t find his voice to be overly off putting. It’s more gravelly than flutey or warbley — not a showstopper problem IMO. Gonna be interesting to see what kind of impact he has on the race.

I agree with him on a few issues. But He is a liberal and would destroy our liberties and therefore NOT acceptable

It’s about publicity. You know goose/gander. Being the candidate helps him as well as the party, another marriage of convenience. He would be more appropriate in the Green Party as his positions are very green. Then you must ask of his motives. Who does he support more between Biden and Trump? You won’t get an answer.

Trump should suggest he’d be a good Atty. General, citing his book against Dr. Fauci as one reason. Rand Paul is the highest libertarian-leaning office holder. He should discourage or call out Kennedy as a faux-libertarian.

RFK Jr. will not be elected POTUS in November but he could be a deciding factor. Then there’s Jan. 20. What does he want to do going forward? He could have a real forum working for Trump but none under Biden. Like his father he could fight corruption on behalf of the family tradition or he could relax at home and continue to write. We’d know only if he were to address his differences between both Trump and Biden. It’s not in his interests to do so-at least before October.

The Wuhan Cover-Up gives you the facts, the history, and the understanding you need to grasp what is actually happening, right now.

If enough of us read it, we will gain the knowledge and strength in numbers to stop and defund the biowarfare industry, revoke these terrible laws, and lay down our deep, unconscious fears regarding contagion.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is a lot of things. Some good, some not so good. One thing is certain, he is not a libertarian.
