An arctic blast will plunge most of the United States into "dangerously cold" territory this weekend, and maps shared by AccuWeather and the National Weather Service (NWS) reveal which states can expect to get hit the hardest by the arctic weather—one of which will face temperatures up to 60 degrees below zero.
The frigid air will spread southward across the U.S. this weekend following a series of winter storms that brought gusty winds, cold temperatures and heavy precipitation to most of the nation this week, including snow in Hawaii.
"Frigid Arctic air will begin to spread southward across the heart of the country this weekend and is expected to continue into next week. Much below normal temperatures along with gusty winds will lead to wind chills well below zero for many locations." - NWS Weather Prediction Center

In some areas of the country, they are probably just shrugging their shoulders at the coming cold. But there are areas of the country that are ill-prepared for the cold that’s about to hit them.

I live just west of Pensacola, and I had something like this around last Christmas (2022). I will do what I did last year: cover my crawl space openings with plastic sheeting, blast my heat and drip my taps.
A cold blast this far south is supposedly a once-in-a-generation event, but it seems to be increasing in frequency. FU, you global warmunists!

In January of 1977 there was cloud cover over the entire US, every state got snow, drifts and brutal wind, Including the mountains in Hawaii. Proof of THE COMING ICE AGE! And it was “All our fault!”(as usual)

I remember January of 1962, Carlsbad NM. -19 degrees. Brutal snow, cold, wind. So bad it broke up the roads all the way from New Mexico to the Ozarks.
Sounds like we are going to have regular cold weather with Siberian express and Alberta Clippers coming our way.
Read a tweet yesterday where a climatologist actually said, “Even though the earth is boiling we can still have these extreme cold events.”
