Just as New Yorkers are fleeing to Georgia and turning it into a blue state.

Didn’t think this one through very well did they?

But to some extent it exposes a common issue. We are running out of places to “run and hide” because nobody actually fights, they just run and hide.

What took them so long? There shouldn’t be a single firearms company in the Northeast.

Current facility in Ilion, NY at 14 Hoefler Ave., Ilion, NY

Gigantic facility - 10,000 sq. ft. A WHOLE lot of lost tax revenue for that city. Lots more info in Epoch Times 12/27/23-1/2/24

I can’t believe the people of New York and California continue to put up with the inept politicians running these states by re-electing them time and time again. Might as well include Chicago in that too.

gun grabber for sure but it is about the $15 min wage in NY with a $.50 increase each of the next two years.

This region is exactly the areas where the politicians care little about. Rural where the once might industrial areas have long moved away.

The pols know these areas will be decimated by fentanyl and depopulated by people who simply can’t survive here any longer.

I’m amazed any arms or ammo manufacturers or even manufacturers of components haven’t already upped stakes and moved to red states.

Many companies move very slowly on big decisions.

That is why states like CA and NY are going to be seeing companies fleeing for many years in the future—based on horrible state actions that have already happened.

A ten year lag time is not that uncommon.

“Gigantic facility - 10,000 sq. ft.”.

I believe it is 1 Million Sq. Ft.
10,000 sq ft is about the size of 5 or 6 regular homes.

I sure wish they would have moved to Kansas. Good jobs for us and we’re a gun friendly state.

Looks like it is already closed.

RemArms, or what continues to be known by many as Remington, announced Nov. 30 that the company would close its firearms manufacturing plant in Ilion, in Herkimer County, in early 2024. According to a video statement from CEO Ken D’Arcy posted to the RemArms Facebook page, the company will be moving its Ilion manufacturing operation to LaGrange, Ga. The modern Georgia facility is where RemArms’ headquarters were established following the former Remington company’s 2020 bankruptcy.
