US funding for Kiev has caused hundreds of thousands of deaths and enriched Ukrainian oligarchs, the ex-president’s son claimed
The fighting between Russia and Ukraine has to end in talks, and in order to persuade President Vladimir Zelensky’s government to negotiate, Washington must stop sending money to Kiev, the eldest son of former US President Donald Trump has said.
Donald Trump Jr. was asked the conflict during his appearance on the Timcast IRL podcast on YouTube on Friday.
The 46-year-old said: “Cut off the money. It’s the only way you get them [Ukraine] to the table, right?”
The result of the $111 billion in military and economic assistance that Washington has provided to Kiev since February 2022 has been to “kill hundreds of thousands of innocent men, half of whom were probably indifferent to some of the politics cause they were ethnically Russian anyway,” he argued.
“We’re literally creating the oligarch class of billionaires in Ukraine with whatever is being siphoned off… while they send young men to die as cannon fodder on the frontlines because they couldn’t care less,” Trump Jr. said.
Despite all the Western aid, the Ukrainians “were never winning, they were probably never going to win” against Russia, he added.
If his father Donald Trump returns to the White House after the election in November, he will simply tell the government in Kiev: “Hey, you got like one more month of this and if you’re not at the table it’s done,” the ex-president’s son said.
“Guess what, Zelensky wouldn’t have a chance if we shut it down, so he’d come to the table and they [Moscow and Kiev] would come up with something,” Trump Jr. predicted.
On Friday, White House national security spokesman John Kirby acknowledged that the assistance that the US has been providing to Ukraine “has now ground to a halt.”
The announcement came as the Biden administration’s attempts to push through a $106 billion ‘national security package,’ which includes $60 billion for Kiev, continues to face staunch resistance from hardline Republican lawmakers, who have demanded stricter controls on the southern US border in exchange for approving the bill.
Earlier this week, Zelensky again urged the US politicians to unblock the aid, claiming he is now being forced to choose between paying pensions to 11 million people or buying weapons for troops on the frontline. “We simply must pay” the pensioners “because the elderly people will die” otherwise, he said.

Ukraine has been badly damaged in this war and losing men’s lives. I am no expert but I have wondered if this war is really worth it for them.

Sometimes it is best to admit defeat and move on. Many chanted 54 40’ or Fight. But would it have been worth another war with the British,?
A better example would be what did we do when the British invaded us?
As opposed to the wholesale slaughter of men women and children that will follow a surrender? Yes, I reckon it’s worth it to them not to be taken over by Russia again. They know what happens.

If Trump, Jr. said this it can be argued that he is all-but openly inviting Russian interference in our election. And if that is the case, he just handed the Democrats a HUGE talking point. Dumb, dumb, dumb comment if in fact he actually made it.

So, a man can’t openly express his sincere opinion anymore without ‘inviting interference in our elections’?
(I think there are people currently being prosecuted for openly expressing sincere opinions; do you think such prosecution is ‘smart’ as opposed to ‘dumb’?)

I think he handed the Dems a big talking point. They can now allege Russian interference and point back to this comment; and if some Russian newscaster or politician or blogger references this comment and says that “Trump has shown a path to peace” the Dems will do just that.

Trump JR is not bright when it comes to foreign policy. If we would listen to him, the warmongers in the Kremlin would be sending Russian troops all over the planet, annexing everything they could. That’s what Russia has always done when confronted with pacifists, hippie-mentality, and other peace-at-any-cost Chamberlain-style people.
The Ukrainian people are true conservatives because they DARE defending their nation against illegal intruders killing their families and burning their homes down.
What Trump JR said is just as crazy as saying :
“Hey, let’s defund the police, so we can can force our police to negotiate with Antifa. Let Antifa take entire blocks of our inner cities (like in Seattle), let’s negotiate this!”
Basically that is what Trump Jr. wants Ukraine to do concerning Russia.
It’s pure irresponsable madness.
Luckily Donald Trump is totally opposing his own son on this. The many anti-Russia actions he put in place while he was president proves it. I have previously sent list of the things Donald Trump did against Russia. 40 points!

Trump sent shiploads of high-tech weaponry to Ukraine, while pacifist-Obama only sent “pillows and blankets”. Remember?
Trump Jr. wants to continue Obama’s uber-weak and scandalously frail foreign policies. It’s crazy, unintelligent and dangerous for America.
