This only confirms the fact that apostasy has reached critical mass in the Church. This is the last preacher I would have suspected of this heresy.

Attending a wedding is a presumed APPROVAL of it.

I was just going to say exactly what you did. I’ve been invited to a couple that I did not approve and I stayed home.

We should treat everybody with love.

And we should never condone sin.

I’m shocked he would say that! A co-worker here is planning a wedding to another woman. She’s a recent women’s university graduate so I think it may be due to propaganda she’s been given. I will not attend the wedding if invited, which I expect to be.

If a relative invites me to a seance should I attend in order to not be judgmental? Or how about attending a premier of an “adult film” if my relative is the star?

My brother is gay. I skipped his wedding. Not because he’s gay. Because he’s a raging libtard and an epic a$$hole.

“Pastor Alistair Begg Says Christians Should Attend Gay Weddings So They Don’t Come Across as ‘Judgmental, Critical’”

Why do we have to accommodate them? How about gays attending straight weddings for the same reasons as above? Come to think of it...never mind.

I would not attend a gay wedding and care not at all what anyone chooses to think about it. I do care what God thinks about it, which is why I would not attend.

I did purchase a Bible online last year, so according to Jim Jordan, I am on the FBI’s watch list for being a domestic terrorist.

that pastor has been drinking too much of the liberal Kool-Aid. The good book is clear that marriage is between one man and one woman. Homosexual unions go against God’s will. No self-respecting conservative Christian should attend such a sham of a wedding ceremony. We must stand up for traditional values, not bow down to the politically correct crowd.

Mrs. BBB333 & I attended a lesbian wedding.

The priest cried.

Later they got divorced and Mrs. BBB333 pulled the license of the one that was working at her firm.

This whole scenario played out over seven years or so...

I am now MORE judgmental and anti gay — for a good reason.

My wife and I were invited to our foster sons gay wedding. We told him we love him but cannot be present because we believe the witnesses are an integral part of ceremony and by their presence those who are Christians are agreeing in the spirit to support the marriage. I believe they understood. We continue to make them part of our family gatherings and let both know we love and care for them and encourage them both to seek a relationship with Christ.

There are none so judgmental as the leftist destroyers who push deviant weddings. With that in mind I believe I’ll be as judgmental as I damned well please.

God’s Wrath on Unrighteousness

Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth.
Rom 1:19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them.
Rom 1:20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.
Rom 1:21 For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened.
Rom 1:22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools,
Rom 1:23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.
Rom 1:24 Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves,
Rom 1:25 because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.
Rom 1:26 For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature;
Rom 1:27 and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.
Rom 1:28 And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.
Rom 1:29 They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips,
Rom 1:30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents,
Rom 1:31 foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless.
Rom 1:32 Though they know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.

I love how these folks like to bring up “ye without sin cast the first stone” as if this means no one can be judgmental or disagree with someone, yet I never hear them mention what Jesus said next to the woman, go and sin no more.

“… Begg says that as long as grandson knows that she believes it is sinful and she does not agree with it, then she SHOULD attend the ceremony…”

That seems to me to be the height of hypocrisy and rudeness. I’d almost have more respect for Begg if just said accept the invitation. But making a knowingly,to the gs, inflammatory statement and then attending anyway is a greater sin.

“Pastor Alistair Begg Says Christians Should Attend Gay Weddings So They Don’t Come Across as ‘Judgmental, Critical’”

Do you mean ‘Judgmental, Critical’ like the Bible does when it condemns the gay life style?

Situations like this are inevitable, given the “nicer than Jesus” ethos of the American clergymen (even “conservative ones) and the placement of less than robustly masculine men in the pulpit. Half jokingly, I told my current pastor that if I had to find a new church, I would ask the senior pastor if he owned guns and liked beer. If the answer is no to both questions, I would move on. He noted that as a Baptist, he is a non drinker. My response - strike one. Fortunately, he owns a gun.

Being critical is not a vice. People who don’t think critically are known as “suckers”.
