Alec Baldwin has been charged with involuntary manslaughter over the fatal shooting on the set of “Rust” for a second time.

The actor has been indicted by a grand jury in New Mexico over the death of Halyna Hutchins, who was struck with a live bullet which had been loaded into a prop gun for a scene. “The above named defendant did cause the death of Halyna Hutchins by an act committed with the total disregard of indifference for the safety of others,” the indictment obtained by The Post read.

Rule #1
Never let the muzzle point at anything you are not willing to destroy.

The only positive thing that I can say about Baldwin is that he was good in Glengarry Glen Ross.

No one should walk away from this scot free. From the armorer to Baldwin, and frankly this deserves jail time.

How is this NOT double jeopardy?

Unless you are making moves. A whole different and stringent industry standard exists for that.

Double jeopardy is trying a person a second time for a crime for which he had been acquitted. Baldwin has not been tried and acquitted of any crime related to the death on his set.

IIRC According to him, the gun fired but he didn’t pull the trigger.

You’d have to suspend reality to even consider that could have happened.

You try using that excuse and see how fast you’re in prison scrubs.

Yup. My dad was a small town doctor. When he was teaching me how to use my .22 rifle, he took me to the hospital and showed me a guy's gun shot wound. Never forgot that lesson. (Probably a .38)

Rule #2

Treat every gun as loaded until you clear it yourself.

Using a real firearm instead of a prop gun that can shoot only blanks is just plain stupid.

Why not just remove Baldwin’s name from the ballot and call things square.

And if that was possible or not, what was live ammo doing on the movie set?

This guy is using the same excuse after shooting a girl turning around in his driveway.. Arthur Frost, Monahan's lawyer, asks him "point blank, did you pull that trigger?" No, I did not. https://cbs6albany.com/news/trial-of-kevin-monahan/the-prosecution-rests-case-against-kevin-monahan-kaylin-gillis-washington-county-murder-charges-crime-tony-jordan-

When I was 10 I pointed an unloaded shotgun at my friend. His Dad let me know that was a big no no. Shame is a great teacher.

Someone loaded the gun. I doubt it was Baldwin.

They are guilty of murder.

Baldwin is a total ass, and guilty of manslaughter, but someone is getting away with murder.

And tack on extra time for just plain criminal stupidity for them both.

Had Alec Baldwin owed up to his role in the accidental shooting that resulted in death early on with ‘genuine’ remorse, this issue would have been resolved long ago with some fines, restitution to the victims’ families, and no jail time, but his arrogance and adherence to a “magic gun” fantasy got us here.

I can’t stand the sight of the guy but he’s not guilty of manslaughter. He’s a dumb chit actor who was handed a pistol by the production armorer and had every reason to believe it was loaded with blanks. Its the armorer’s fault.

Once a jury has been sworn jeopardy is attached.

Why should Alec Bawldwin deserve a ‘fair trial’ when he’s all in for railroading Trump and taking away ALL of his rights to a fair trial?

I hope this puke gets 20 yrs in prison.
