Were I Navarro, I would say “I do not view my actions as a crime. Nor do I recognize your authority to pass judgement on them. You should recall Solzhenitsyn from the Gulag Archipelago. I will not surrender peacefully.”

I disagree with you on taking the 5th.

I would take the opportunity to verbally berate every person who was on the committee beginning with Liz Cheney and Kinzinger and ending with Pelosi. Being as abrasive, obnoxious, and vulgar as possible with nearly constant PERSONAL attacks on them, highlighting their PERSONAL weaknesses and failings. Make it a complete spectacle.

Starting with “Liz you ignorant slut” and simply go on a riff from there.

In fact...I would spark up a cigarette and pour a tumbler of whiskey right at the table.

What if the prosecutor grants immunity on some part of the charges they care less about, you testify, and then the media twists what you testify? I wonder if it’s really as easy as you think.

Is this one of the subpoenas that was never actually authorized?

This is a travesty and a violation of Navarros civil rights. NavaJan 6th was a false flag operation, and he is being persecuted becaise he worte the Navarro Report showing that the 2020 election was fraudulent.

See:

https://peternavarro.com/category/the-navarro-report/

He should be able to show evidence why the Jan 6th committee
had no jurisdiction to subpoena him, but he was not allowed to submit a defence. The Jan 6th Congressional Committee was not duly COnstituted as a matter of law and Congressional regulations.

So what the court of public opinion had already put them on trial long before their testimony and depending on your politics determine led their guilt or innocence

They could have done that but the Democrats wanted everyone associated with Trump in jail making the chances Navarro and Bannon getting immunity practically zero

The link I posted said Trump waived any privilege claims for Navarro and Bannon meaning giving up any documents was not a legal claim that could be made

Perhaps but they could probably nail you on contempt of congress charges which would feed their media narrative even more, it’s a matter of style personally I would calmly and with a smile just keep repeating I assert my 5th Amendment rights while smiling the whole time

Given how badly the Democrats want to see anyone associated with Trump thrown in jail what is the likelihood they would give any type of immunity to Navarro and Bannon by ignoring the subpoena you guarantee a bad response

Prosecutors can use immunity as a technique to counter 5th amendment moves by defendants. Since Navarro did not invoke the 5th, an immunity maneuver would not make sense. No doubt Navarro is hoping that Trump will win the election in November. I certainly am.

Certainly, the Democrats could have offered immunity to Navarro and Bannon, my point is, given how the Democrats want Trump and anyone associated with him in jail and ruined it makes no sense to give two of his biggest supporters immunity.

Instead, they gave the Democrats the middle finger, it might make people feel good but it’s not the best legal strategy IMO.

Good for you but then you are out of the battle, soon Navarro and/or Bannon will off the prison perhaps sitting out the 2024 election when they could be the most effective.
