They won’t stop until every one of Trump’s associates are in jail. They won’t even stop then.

They’ll stop when Trump himself is in jail. Maybe.

If Biden was even one percent an American president, he would pardon this great public servant.

They’re coming for us next. That’s why they’re wanting reports on bank transactions with Christian or patriotic themes.

There was a way he and Steve Bannon could have avoided this situation, but they both chose another more confrontational path.

Trump was willing to waive executive privilege, and both could have testified before the committee without disclosing anything that was privileged.

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/trump-says-waive-executive-privilege-ahead-steve-bannons-jan-6-committ-rcna37505

The other thing they could have done is actually show up, they refused to even show up at the hearings.

Once they got before the committee just plead the 5th amendment to every question and refuse to talk.

The entire thing is a joke, but in this situation Navarro and Bannon both chose to be defiant and it’s going to cost them not only a short jail sentence but a ton in legal fees.

6 months for Contempt of Congress.
Under some other sentences....

By offense type, the median time served is 17 months for drug trafficking and 10 months for drug possession. This report is based on NCRP data from 44 states.

....
About three-quarters of violent offenders released
from state prison in 2016 served at least one year
before initial release.
from US Dept. of Justice

6 months for contempt of Congress?!

By that standard, I’m sure many of us should be serving several years for the level of OUR contempt of Congress.
