The Biden administration’s “Bidenomics,” which they have touted as improving the lives of middle and working-class Americans, has been taking a major hit lately. Recent surveys show most U.S. households are still facing economic hardship, according to The Hill.
Over 60 percent of Americans report living paycheck-to-paycheck, including 45 percent of those earning over $100,000 a year, an August Lending Club survey found, The Hill reported.
On Thursday, President Joe Biden made a rare campaign trail appearance, making an impromptu stop at a Cook Out restaurant in Raleigh, North Carolina, where he enjoyed a milkshake and burger, according to the Daily Mail.
Unfortunately for the president, even this lighthearted activity was not immune from the effects of Bidenomics.
The pit stop came after Biden spoke about connecting rural communities to broadband internet, comparing it to FDR’s rural electrification efforts. He stressed that he aimed to be “a president for all America.”
The president ordered a “triple thick” chocolate and vanilla milkshake and a bacon cheeseburger with fries.
But the photo op had one inconvenient detail, which was picked up by North Carolina Senator Phil Berger.
Berger posted a photo of Biden at the same fast-food vendor three years earlier, focusing on the prices on the menus displayed on the back wall.

Last August I stopped at a rest stop off i-95 in Connecticut that had a McDonalds, so I ordered a Big Mac and small fries, NO soda as I already had a sode in the car.....$18.90 I am not kidding. I paid for it anyway, and joked with the cashier that she probably hears people complain all day about the price, and she said “You have no idea, I’m ready to quit this” lol
I assume these high prices are not only because of Bidenomics, but also because the DemoMarxists raised minimum wage to ridiculously high levels? I remember working in a fast food joint was a part time job for High school students. Now Democrats consider it a career choice.
Phil Berger.
Thanks, Phil.
Thats what pubbies nationwide should be doing every dang day.
Not rolling over and handing dumblecrats spending victories.
Big Double. $2.99 —> $3.99
$5.99 to $7.69
That’s a 28% increase. FJB.
“Big Double. $2.99 —> $3.99”
Hot Dog $1.39 —> $1.99
$6.00 soft drinks cannot be far behind.
A nickel for a Pepsi and a nickel for a bag of peanuts used to be lunch.
When I was in college a burger, fries, and root beet was only 55 cents.
Cook Out is really good in NC - there is one about 2 miles from me. Char Grill in Raleigh is also a fun burger place.
My wife and I very rarely eat out. We recently spent 8 weeks at her Mother’s house which included her passing and my wife being Executor for the Estate. We never ate a single meal in a restaurant. On the occasion I have looked at prices, it is shocking of the uninitiated.
We bought a little charcoal grill and cooked at her Mom’s house. I could go the to the local meat store and buy a brisket for $50 and eat better food for several days for the same price as steak for two in a restaurant.
I certainly understand people eating out. Dining is evening entertainment for a lot of people. A lot enjoy it, we just happen not to.
They call it highway robbery

Let me guess - they offer beef.
“I certainly understand people eating out. Dining is evening entertainment for a lot of people.”
Yes it is. And dining out all the time is a way of life for a lot of people. We watch working men go into convenient stores and pay horrendous prices for their fast food, and they do it all the time.
What ever happened to the packed lunches for the working stiff or the traveler? Home cooked meals are not only cheaper, but you know how sanitary the food handlers are as well as the quality of the foods being prepared. I really dislike going into a restaurant and see the kitchen help dressed like they just got through changing oil on a big rig.
I can recall several times when just after paying for a meal the stomach cramps start and the rush to the bathroom is an emergency. There were times when I swore I’d never make it to a restroom in time.
Our club at overseas base has a big handmade burger with mushrooms and onions with a large sesame toasted bun. Comes with a pickle, large cut garlic fries for $9.95 and for being a member, $1.00 off. When we in mode for Shushi (we are in Japan) go to the shushi wheel and both have are feel for Y1500 (equates to $10.50) with the dollar rate. Best of both worlds with no tipping....
I wonder what the difference is between “Cajun chicken” and “spicy chicken”?
That’s a 28% increase from 3 years ago, or over 9% inflation for every year since Brandon became (p)Resident.
Americans simple cannot afford another 4 years of this douchebag. Literally.
It amazes me how many places which sell “food” that don’t actually have any good food to offer.
I was talking to a 40’ish year old guy coming to grips with his first Lipitor prescription. In our conversation, he said he eats half or more of his meals from convenience stores. He’s a financial advisor, so no reason he can’t eat well. He just doesn’t take the time. I tried to convince him the only thing in our Speedway gas station one should consider “food” is the bottled water. Everything else is over-processed and probably has several days worth of carbs in a single serving.
There's a bar 'n grill a few miles from me where you can get a good sized hand pressed burger with whatever you want on it, and it comes with fries made from sliced real potatoes, not a puree. Total price $13.99.
This is in New England where everything is expensive, too. Would never even consider driving into the valley for a mickeyD crapwich.
Only wish that I could have been there to meet and greet our resident.~
You pay for the beef but the bugs are free. Thank you Biden!
I really like Cook Out. I wish they were in Ohio
