Ron DeSantis is still the real deal. You folks are wrong. Look at how he turned Florida solid red after barely beating that queer drug addict. Look a how he took Disney to the woodshed knowing they pay a lot in taxes.

Save your breath.

We had a once in a generation opportunity to rally behind an actual conservative with a long list of victories under his belt but the majority of GOP primary voters instead belittled him as "meatball" and decided to throw their lot behind a bloviating geriatric circus clown.

We deserve every defeat that awaits us.

See post 7.

DeSantis owns this.

He could have changed the narrative.

He could have been a great leader.

He failed.

There is noone else to blame.

Oh please. Free Republic is just a blip in the world of politics. The vast majority of Republican voters figured out DeSantis on their own without us!

>>”We had a once in a generation opportunity to rally behind an actual conservative...”

Your knowledge of recent history is lacking. There’s nothing “once in a generation” about DeSantis. He’s the same old establishment candidate that the party has been using to string republican voters along for years. They’re big on promises. Some of them even have some record of accomplishment in their states that they pretend will translate to success on the presidential level. DeSantis is the same old same old. A DeSantis presidency would result in a lot of disappointment and the same old list of excuses we’ve grown to be accustomed to from Republicans.

Said "bloviating geriatric circus clown" saving "meatball" from a humiliating defeat to a down-low jive meth addict, who nearly beat DeSantis anyway...but you do you, droop.

When you start blaming the voters instead of respecting their judgement and trying to understand it....

Blame the candidate that ran a terrible campaign.

Ron DeSantis.

I'm a Trump guy but your point is well taken, too many on here defame DeSantis and even his military experience (probably because thy are not vets) and spend their time attacking him and GOP canddates without doing anything to help defeat the left (donate $s, campaign,) You have to give the Dems credit on one thing, they know how to win, they never attack each other like this, and these juvenile attacks on DeSantis and others only help the left adn make a Trump victory very iffy

That guy Ron was the worst candidate ever. He was not liked by many. He had no chance of winning which has already been proved.

The best he did was beat Charlie Crist and that ain’t saying much.

The fact he had a law changed to save his job when he loses was proof he was never committed or trusted himself and was most likely running to help the GOPe get rid of Trump.

Boy was that a major fail. If he ever tries this again he needs to get some self help with his personality and demeanor.

Whew, your Trump Derangement Syndrome is off the charts today.

Face it. DeSantis squandered all the good will he built up with his work in Florida on a weak, poorly run campaign, couldn’t handle events or the press, and blew 130 million dollars.

The problem was never GOP voters. WE know what’s going on! And we know a phony when we see one.
