Ukraine hits the Russian Port at Ust-Luga near Saint Petersburg with drones, this is 870 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.

If it's true that 90% of Russia's seabound oil exports move through Ust-Luga Primorsk and Novorossisk, and IF the Ukies can consistently hit that area, Russia has a problem...

Similar considerations are likely why Saudi Arabia has gone soft on the Houthis. If the “West” is not really committed to erasing the Houthis’ capability to hit Saudi oil facilities, Saudi has a problem too...

What I fail to understand is the US lethargy in adopting more cost effective anti-drone countermeasures in volume. Once you have them detected / located, it only takes WW2 tech and good comms to knock ‘em down...

....a problem that their air defense radars apparently can’t handle.

Did the drones overfly NATO territory to reach their targets? That would be one easy way to effectively avoid Russian defences.

That would add to the mileage on a drone that only has a 1,000 KM range.

But, did they fire them from a boat in the Baltic and send it around to make it look like it came from the south?

It’s time to take out Zelensky. He or WE are trying to start a World War.

The Baltic boat theory is an interesting one. It may help avoid air defenses oriented towards Ukraine.

Unfortunately its not likely to work more than once, if the Russians figure out the flight path.

And the Russians aren’t?
They started this mess and they insist on keeping it going.

Its quite a detour to avoid Belorussia. Maybe 2X the distance.

Not the first time. Remember Mathias Rust?

Illegally invading a sovereign neighboring country - like Putin has done, multiple times - is a good way to start a World War

Impressive!

Of course, we can’t confirm it was a successful Ukraine attack, until Russia issues its obligatory “There was no successful attack, all the drones were shot down, and besides, we were planning to demolish that port anyway ...”

LOL

Its true, but the plant intercepted the drone. So far Moscovia’s air defense is working.

So is poking a Nuclear Bear with a NATO stick!

All this BS is simply to protect the Biden clan from their own crooked dealings.

“.. it only takes WW2 tech and good comms to knock ‘em down...”

That and take out the airfields from which they fly and the manufacturing facilities as well. Destroy them before they fly!!
