Did the U.S. provoke Russia into seizing Crimea during Obama's term? Did the U.S. provoke Russia into funding separatists in the Donbas region during the Obama administration?
The main reason why Russia invaded Ukraine has to do with the gas fields in Eastern Ukraine that the Ukrainian government was in the process of developing, with the ultimate goal of selling natural gas to Europe, undercutting Russian gas sales.
Russia seized Crimea over natural gas reserves, and it wants to seize the Eastern third of Ukraine over natural gas reserves.
Natural gas reserves in Ukraine:
If Ukraine is able to tap into its newly discovered natural petroleum resources, it becomes not only a steady supplier of energy for Europe, but also a strong competitor for the Russian gas station. Hmmm…🤔
Much better for Putin to simply take it all from the Ukrainians and keep those natural resources for himself, thus supplementing Russia’s status as a leading petroleum producer for the world, right?
It all makes sense now: Putin covets his neighbor’s stuff, so he uses his military to steal it while blaming it all on nazis and NATO! Say what you will, but that doesn’t sound very noble to me.
Hey, Vlad! Didn’t you know that the love of money is the root of all evil? Seems like you have enough problems at home to solve already, so why add more?
Go back home, Vlad, and take your evil special military operation to steal your neighbor’s stuff back home with you, too.
Obama told Russian President Dmitry Medvedev "after my election I have more flexibility."
Medvedev replied that he would "transmit this information to Vladimir,"
Then, Obama did nothing about the annexation of Crimea or the Russian invasion of the Donbass region except to deny lethal weapons to Ukraine.
Yes, this is all provocation by Obama/Biden for an ulterior motive. The Ukrainian citizenry are not a factor to either of them.
