There will be no “civil war”.

Is it possible, in the vein of “is it possible I may win 1 million dollars”? Yes.

Is it probable? No. Not likely or imminent or unavoidable.

Unfortunately Congress has abdicated authority that they have to use Impeachment to punish. There’s lots of foot dragging now to even impeach Mayorkas.

That the issue is as serious as it is demands purposeful responses by House Republicans to use all the levers within their control to address the immigration crusts at the U.S. border. That means (to me) it’s appropriate to hold Ukraine funding “hostage” to enact meaningful U.S. border corrective actions. Of the two issues, U.S. border security is clearly (to me) the more imperative issue.

We’ll see if House Republicans are up to the challenge.

And how likely is that?
There may not be a civil war, I quite agree that's extremely unlikely. But a...situation...on the border would make the issue much clearer to the public than anything they could say in the gaseous halls of Congress. Impeachments, censures, ho-hum. Federal troops clashing with Texans, an attempted (and failed) arrest of a governor, that there's real!

I don't know enough about the governor himself, but it sure looks like history is calling him up.
